The red hartebeest, also known as Alcelaphus buselaphus caama, is native to the grassy plains and savannahs of southern Africa. They can be found in countries such as Namibia, South Africa, and Botswana. These open grasslands provide the perfect habitat for the red hartebeest to roam and graze on the plentiful grasses that grow in the region.
Their most striking feature is their curved horns, which are shaped like a lyre and can grow up to 60 centimeters in length.
