One day I was RE-watching this video and I saw how John was actually playing this riff.....WOW!!!!! If you pay close attention you'll see that his right hand, the rhythm hand hitting the strings, never changes. The entire riff is played with the exact same strumming, all that changes is his fingering on the fretboard. It's truly unbelievable!!! The man has mastered the instrument!! I don't say that lightly either, I've been playing music for over 40 years, Flea is one of the reasons I am a bassist! Watch it again for me, and when you do, look very closely to how John is playing this one, if you can see what I'm talking about it will blow your mind. Trust me.

As a massive Red Hot Chili Pepper fan that has been following the band for almost 20 years, I have some recommendations. True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes, Mellowship Slinky in B major, Aeroplane, Purple Stain, Minor Thing, and Hard to Concentrate. If you're going to do a hit, please cover Otherside.

J...you need to check out the Chad Smith vs. Will Farrell drum battle. I don't remember if it was SNL or David Letterman. FUNNY AF!

I saw you did Sir Psycho Sexy too. Idk if you've already gotten this message but you gotta check out RCHP older funk origins like when George Clinton was helping produce. The album he helped with was Freakey Styley. My favorite songs are Millionaires Against Hunger, Yertle the Turtle, and True Men Don't Kill Coyotes.

Please react to "Red Hot Chili Peppers - Warlocks" and "Rage Against the Machine - Maria". They both have SUPER FUNKY BASS LINES!! Neither have an official music video, so just react to the songs. Maria's chorus is a real kick in the teeth.
