This song is a Masterpiece. The fact John came back- this album is a gift to humanity plain and simple to me. Lucky we lived to hear this album.

I love how John's guitar in the outro sounds like some kind of howling creatures. It's so beautiful.

this is my fave track hands down. it's a nod to By The Way and SA... the arrangement, harmonies, vocals, JF's backing vocals, and the way JF's solo @ 4:29 just vibrates, chimes, & shimmers through... like rays of sunlight.

That little speech you gave at 3:30, for me, was the definition of this song. THIS is the song of the album in my opinion.

This song is def one of the bests on the album and IMO when AK sings “and she can’t go home tonight” at the 5:50 mark is best part of the song. Gives me goosebumps

Completely agree re: Josh -- the songs are indeed fuller, richer... they have depth and emotional substance to them. And I love Josh, he's a great guy and a great guitar player. I really really liked their first album with him replacing John. But really is no replacing John Frusciante, to be truthful.

We all missed Johns vocals and guitar! With this album, at first I didn’t know what I thought. After a few times through, it’s amazing! A couple songs are so so, but as a whole, it’s amazing. This is my favorite song from it! We feel ya bro!

Listen to the album twice in its entirety. It’s only natural is my favorite. Black Summer is alright, but I think overvalued. Veronica is pretty good too.

8:45 Many great songwriters have said something along the lines of they didn't create the music, it came to them from some greater place, and they just channeled it. One of the things that makes RHCP a great group is that John, Flea, and Chad are all great at playing for the song, plus they play well with and off of each other. They frequently bring just what a track needs to properly project the true spirit behind it.
