We're starting off the new year with recipes we want to eat after the December indulgence. The first recipe is part salad part side, a platter of red rice with roasted mushrooms, hearty cavolo nero (because it's delicious and green) and optional, although we would highly recommend, a big pile of crispy onions. You can make the onions yourself or find them in a local Asian supermarket.
