Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I'm really thankful for all the work you pour into your videos and that I've enjoyed watching them a lot, mistakes and all. For someone like me with practically no knowledge about music, your videos are really interesting and give me insight that I otherwise wouldn't have into the songs you analyse. Take all the time you need to rest ❤️❤️ I'll always be grateful for what you've already given even if you decide to never return to this channel. Your health always comes first. I hope everything turns out alright for you

I love when low notes are the star. People are too obsessed with who can hit the highest notes and completely forget about the opposite end of the spectrum.

ok but those low notes is what i am dying for. irene and seulgi have such ease in the lower register it’s unbelievable. seulgi’s d5’s and e5’s are really good too.

I love how this album showcases their lower range especially those B3-A3 and the B4s were amazing in Monster. God Irene and Seulgi are just amazing

Seulgi’s Agility is what makes her a compelling lead singer that has a MAIN VOCAL potential. There are flaws in her vocals (as everyone else is) but the way she can run and riff makes her very diva-ish. Irene is also a promising singer for a vocalist. Red Velvet has one of the good agility when it comes to her vocals

Lower register Seulgi and Vocal relaxed for Irene!!!!!!!! Monster, Feel good and Diamond are the most vocal heavy Naughty and Jelly are more risky, mixed registers, not emotional focused like Feel good or Monster

It’s a pretty easy range to sing these songs. Makes it easier to sing to for a soprano haha The high notes were a hit or miss. Anything after C5 can be a bit of a struggle to sing. Nice vids 👍

That “Monster live forever” from Seulgi started out so well but as always she places it towards her nose as a habit. I like how SM mixes their voices together so it doesn’t sound as strained on some high notes. The sound engineers in SM are good at mixing the harmonies. Just listening to Nct, Exo and Snsd; they blend and mix the voices well when its time for the chorus.

@@KayeMusume I hope that Seulgi is going to fix her problems with nasality, that's kinda weird tho, SM vocalists usually have great placement. Anyway, in Red Velvet's it sounds great because her voice is either mixed with harmonies or that makes a great contrast with the clarity(?) of Wendy's voice

@@horus7416 i don't think she trained for singing for a long period of time, just a little while and then she focused on dancing.

Horus MMB Tbh, it’s all up to the individual themselves in the end. A person can get the best vocal instructors out there and still won’t progress. A good singer knows their strengths, weaknesses and supported vocal range. I’m sure the skilled vocal singers are knowledgable about vocal pedagogy and know their limits after singing for so long. As they always say, old habits are hard to die. That is the case for Seulgi and many others. Some people just get how singing works. They know what correct singing feels like. SM knows this and its evident with how good they pick their main vocals and especially with how little training time they have compared to their members. Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Chen and Baekhyun had only a few months. SM lucked out on Wendy when they needed a main vocal for RV. There’s a saying that goes how SM’s pool of talented girl trainees becomes less once they debut. Sometimes SM’s in-house vocal trainers are pretty good at teaching. I like how that guy (forgot his name) helped Wendy overcome her old singing style of having a more chesty-mix and a bit of lowered larynx by introducing her to using more of her headvoice. Her mix improved immensely if you compare her predebut covers to now. Taemin is also a good result. He said he was “tone-deaf” but his passion to be better yielded the best turnabout that I’ve seen in awhile. Sorry for the long post lol but yeah there’s always room for improvement. I hope I didn’t sound offensive with this post ✌️ kinda wanna say more but meh too long and i don’t want anyone to come for me 🤪

Horus MMB Also imo, when listening to the album, Seulgi and Irene’s voices together sounds like Wendy haha. This statement got so many heated in twitter world lol. She’s like a bridge between all the member’s voices. Just listening to Be Natural, you can tell she tried hard to emulate the voices of the original singers in SES. Even Seulgi sounds like Bada in certain parts. They all have different tones and yet can sound alike, pretty amazing to see how well their voices sound good together.

Hi there! I’m always looking for your videos bc they are really cool for learn, but I have a question if someone can replay, Irene (RV) and Mina (Twice) I think they have similar way to singing? Idk but they are in same level, same range or something like that? Thanks for the attention!
4 жыл бұрын
Nessa M. hmm objectively i think the only thing that can be considered ‘alike’ is the fact that both have soft tones i guess Mina voice is thinner and she usually gets nasal as higher as she goes while Irene voice tone is a bit fuller and she gets airy (there’s nasally too but not as much as Mina) in the higher notes their range is not really the same, Mina usually sings higher and gets lots of falsetto notes while Irene’s voice seems to be favored to sing mid-lows parts in RV songs ranking them i would say Mina is a better vocalist, her mixed and upper register are more developed than Irene but Irene tops Mina in the lower register, there’s a few more things but i won’t get into it because i’m not an expert heheh hope it helps btw!😄

Hello sorry I dont think I can do that but as a quick shot, Nayeon and Jihyo have F#5s in the chorus and adlibs in the last chorus, while Jihyo (i believe) also has falsetto Bb5 adlibs in the last chorus. Not really sure with the low notes, I will update when I can. Sorry again!

this is pretty random, but in clc’s new comeback, the high note sounds polyphonic, I’m so confused if it’s an f6 or f5 or some kind of transition to both. It’s here at 3:30 kzitem.info/news/bejne/r5uLtXh5b3horaA
