I just wanted to say I read your description and it really struck a chord. I discovered MintJam back in 2007, been a dedicated fan ever since. There's something about the way a2c plays that just moves my heart. He's still to this day my absolute favourite guitarist and my inspiration to keep playing as well. It really warms my soul knowing he has such dedicated fans out there like you. I hope you keep on jamming!

I discovered a2c back in 2010 with G5 project, later i discover Mintjam, and i say, ey what? I know perfectly that sound, its a2c my favorite from G5, later searching for some info and its correctly, it is the music perfection to me, all the melody, the feeling, the technique, rythm, harmony :)

I remember finding MintJam years ago when I was younger. I think the first song I listened to was, Rival. I've been listening to them ever since off and on. Always makes me happy to hear their music! You just can't beat a little a2c in your life!

And a funny thing about "Gratitude"... after hearing "Words" my life changed, and when I red the first time there is going to be a next album with a2c starring I was really excited, but after listening to Gratitude for the first time I thought, this was really good... but by for not as SUPER EPIC like "Words" and I was dissapointed... but after listening maybe a million times through the years It gets better and better and now if Words is 100% epic then is Gratitude to me now 90% epic and before maybe like 60% - 70%. very difficult to discribe haha. Are you sure Gratitude deserves no. 17?
@Red88Rex
9 жыл бұрын
+Melodic Guitar Rock/Metal GuiltyGearRockYou Well I wouldn't fret over the exact order of the songs. Some days I might enjoy one more than others, it's just that "Words" has always been #1 for me, and "Rain of Sorrow" a close second...after that it's just basically listing the songs I really like. I also greatly enjoyed "Gratitude" for a long time, hell I felt like there was someone I would like to play that song for...maybe I've just heard it too many times. I'm not saying that songs down the list are not great, every single one of these is incredible.

I honestly don't know if a2c knows how much he's changed the life of hundreds/thousands of guitarists. I honestly wouldn't be the same if I didn't listen to his music. Dude literally plays guitar like no rocker ever has. When you compare him to north american mass produced guitar music there's no contest. a2c plays the most soulful rock music I've heard.

Absolutely love your story! Definitely a blessing in disguise coming across Mintjam out of the blue years ago. They still remain my top J band to this very day and every time nostalgia hits me to go and listen to one of their tracks, I become filled with glee like I've traveled back in time to the days when I had just discovered this masterpiece of a group. Great to see another person appreciate the passion and emotion that instrumental tracks can radiate and inspire. Im also ecstatic to see you have some synth/retrowave uploads as well which Ill be checking out in the near future. Great upload!

holy sheets. You. are. a. god-sent. for keeping that file alive in 2018. I first learned of G5 almost 10 yrs ago as well, only learned of MintJam like 3-4 years after. But hell, it's forever living in me and my wife's lives. IDK how all these years I haven't come across your channel or video until now. MintJam's stuff is extremely hard to come across. Especially in this kinda-torrentless internet time, YT is now my only access. (I only know Kickass, and after the raid, I'm paranoid to torrent now) I've even gone as far as asking my Japanese friend to buy the CD on Amazon jp for me... You, my girl, is doing saint's work by spreading meanful, timeless music. Thank you for sharing your collection once again. Please accept my heartfelt appreciation.
