J'ai entendu beaucoup de cette belle musique traditionnelle surtout durant mon enfance (les années 50); aujourd'hui j'espère vraiment que cette belle musique revienne pour de bon au Québec et j'y crois.

I love this tune because St. Ann is the Patron Saint of Cabinetmakers and I've been a cabinetmaker for 50 years.

@Stardrenched This is an hand made melodeon by Mr. Marc Savoy (Acadian trade mark) in Louisiana. USA. This one is in maple wood with top-of-the line a-mano Binci reeds in the key of D. I don't know if Mr. Savoy still builts accordion.

c'est curieux ce que tu dis! j'ai entendu une danse sur le net de ton pays de bigorre qui m'a saisie! il ressemblait à un air irlandais! et de plus, les pas ressemblent un peu à celle de la jig..ils ont trouvé un adn similaire en Irlande avec les ibères...des escargots qu'on ne retrouve qu'en dordogne et une même histoire d'un sage ( mil ou miliérisse) ..les scientifiques disent que les ibères ont envahi l'irlande dans a préhistoire....je vais te retrouver ça (moi je suis bretonne)...écoute ça: la deuxième danse: "matelote béarnaise" : kzitem.info/news/bejne/zoGM04yDhqeho5w

yes , the type of accordion here is called a cajun accordion and the reeds are tuned a little different by the maker to play fiddle tunes instead of cajun music the brand happens to be Acadian there are several other excellent brands from s.w. louisiana . however , hohner accordions are cheaply made and any serious cajun player would rarely ever have one. i imagine there may be a couple french canadian or irish players who may prefer the Hohners but i think that may be rare too this day and age.

J'aime beaucoup votre jeu mais c'est surtout votre accordéon qui me fascine... Mon père en jouait il y a de cela plus de 60 ans (il est décédé à l'âge de 28 ans) ...Est-ce que l'on trouve encore accordéon comme celle-ci?La vôtre me semble comme neuve...
