@@HVACRSurvival good luck we have a geothermal waterfurnace and it was useless I think it was under sized for the modular that's what we replace the gas produce with it keeps barely running. My grandmother passed away in 2019 and I'm stuck with it I think I'm just going to have to buy a new furnace

Nice repair. I take the right side panel off and pull the blower out the right side whoops just saw the flow center location, lovely. Also the floor that divides the blower/evaporator from the compressor/control board area can sometimes be unbolted in the middle and shoved down to make room for that coil

I like the floor lowering idea, the aluminum coil was a touch thicker thanks to the brackets. Everything else was the same size. Thanks for the feedback, I haven't heard from you in a while👍👍

Done many of those units I always replaced the TXV after a coil change. Great video Rick

I've always been pretty lucky with those, now climate master is a total different story. Had several of their TXVs fail but I believe that was because of the Copeland rust inhibitor.

I've done several of those. I too have core depressors. I think on the next one I'll just add a couple of ports to pull a vacuum. I usually replace the txv since I have the system open.

The oil in the refrigerant will make the plastic brittle and it breaks. See it on trane equipment alot. The hyperion cabinets will crack and break all to heck after it's had refrigerant leaking on it.

Interesting, I would have figured the plastic would be resilient. I guess we know how to get rid of all those straws we don't know what to do with 😄😅

That was alot of work! Thats for sure. Quick question... were the terminated ends of the coil copper/copper plated? Or did you have to braze aluminum to copper to install that? If so, what did you use/whats easiest in your experience for brazing copper to aluminum?

Copper aluminium connection is factory made in most cases.

It was done at the factory. But solder weld has some great products for aluminum and aluminum to copper.
