Calling all pickle lovers... having these recipes in your arsenal will change your life! So delicious made with garden fresh ingredients. Will last in your fridge for up to 3 months.
Zesty Bread and Butter
2 c. Apple Cider vinegar
1 1/2c. sugar (for a sweeter pickle use equal parts sugar and vinegar)
1 T. canning & pickling salt
2 t. yellow mustard seed
2 t. red pepper flakes
1/2 t. tumeric
1/2 t. celery seed
1/4 t. whole cloves
1 jalapeno and banana pepper seed
6 cloves of garlic
1/4 each sweet onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper
~6 pickling cucumbers
Simmer 3 minutes or until salt and sugar are dissolved. To a hot quart jar add 1/4 t. Ball Pickle Crisp (1/8 t. for pint jars). Tightly pack veggies and add brine. Cool to room temp. Store in fridge up to 3 months.
Dill Pickles
2 c. Distilled white vinegar (5% acidity)
1 c. water
1 T. canning & pickling salt
2 T. sugar
1 T. dried minced onion flakes
1/2 t. each whole cloves, whole all spice, whole peppercorns
Simmer 3 minutes
To a hot quart jar add 1/4 t. Ball Pickle Crisp (1/8 t. for pint jars), add 1 head of fresh pickling dill and a few sprigs, tightly pack ~3-6 pickling cucumbers depending on size, and 4 cloves of garlic. Add hot brine. Allow to cool to room temp. Store in fridge up to 3 months. All to sit 1 month before using for best flavor.
