Quite a few things on this unit could be swapped for their more modern equivalent for size downgrade. But then again, that would need a bit of coin. I saw one that's in a small repair shop, used for something rather unusual, IE, using a factory fresh car (mapped with the same machine) they would then use it on a repaired car to match all 3D points when the factory repair panels were welded in. That one, is upgraded by the fellow who owns it (i believe). looks much sleeker despite being roughly the same machine (i think it's slightly newer than this one, haven't been in a while).

When this robot have been idle for a long period of time, I recommend you not only replace the battery on the mechanical unit, but also replace the grease of each axis. Also supply some grease into the balancer's oil nipple. REMEMBER TO USE THE RIGHT GREASE.

@@WampaReacts Hi Patrick, about FANUC Robot on the production line, I think they will be fine because they are super durable. Just remember to exchange the batteries under the mechanical unit(Alkaline battery only!!!) every year, exchange it during power on. Exchange the grease(or oil) every 3years or 11520hr(depend on which comes first), time period and grease may be different due to the model of robot. Exchange the lithium battery in the controller for every 4years, exchange it during power on. Last but not least, I’ll recommend you to do back up for every robot, these files may save you in the future.
