Mrs. Rogers reminds me of my mom. She would treat me horribly them when I put distance between us or speak up she was the wounded party. Even though she was the one abusing me all along

Mrs. Rogers is such a typical bully. She's awful to everyone but completely crumbles when someone calls her out. And whoa! Capt. Glover really does look just like his relative in the painting! Amazing family resemblance!

Mrs. Rogers is behaving like a baby. She's should behave like a grown woman--and not a child, offended by harsh words. I like the duel idea.

I think quite a few of the people on this show are quite spoiled/immature. A few seem to have grown while doing the show, some I don't think ever will grow (ahem, Mrs. Rodgers).

Rose Red I think Mrs. Rogers and the other lady should've had reversed rolls, I honestly think the other lady is much more regal and would've done a better job as the hostess. Mrs. Rogers sounds like she smokes 50 packs of cigarettes a day and I think her ego really really gets in the way. Just as a fun fact, the other lady sounds exactly like her Majesty Queen Elisabeth, I'm not even joking their voices are identical she could do voiceover for the queen

lol That is going to make listening to her so much better. Her accent is ridiculous (classic "snobby" Brit). They both bug me. A duel between those two is what this show needs. Getting over it.

Mrs. Rogers is a bully, which is worse b/c she has the position of power here. If this had really been Regency England, Mrs. Enright & Ms. Conick would have been kicked out, I'm sure. P.S. It def reminded me of Mrs. Bennet when she "took to her bed" in hysteria.

I think they are both stuck up, albeit both of them can be (often are) charming. But Mrs. Rogers really does come across as an open and flagrant snob who loves to wield what power she can find.

The chaperones were so utterly useless, none of them truly helped their charges. They started almost all the fights and one even had an affair with a suitor (although I found that quite romantic)

She's older in age but a whole lot younger in maturity.

wow mrs Rogers is such a baby. Her fall back is always "I've never been spoken to like that" . I feel like she's just not game. It's "yes and" even in this situation.

God, Mrs. Rogers is ridiculous. Someone finally stands up to her and she cries like a child. When asked to do her part to sort things out, she takes to her bed until the other party is forced to apologize. Not quite a role-model, is she?

I thought her a terrible snob from the beginning. As someone that supposed to be up on her manners, she has none when it comes to another person…Mrs. R right was really the only chaperone that was close to acting properly and someone I’d really like to know in person…

Miss Hopkins really annoys me, if this is just a "game" then at the reality of the time period, she would have accepted Mr. Everet.

I wish the people in the show acted as they would in the time period. Miss Hopkins would have married Mr.Everett because you really didn’t think like a Jane Austen novel, you thought more like Mrs. Bennett when it came to marriage…

From: Participant Biographies: "VICTORIA HOPKINS Industrial Heiress At 28, Victoria is the deputy director of her family’s lucrative business, which manufactures catering appliances. Although she enjoyed a privileged childhood, drives a sports car and has a closet full of Gucci and Prada clothes, Victoria says she isn’t spoiled and that the hardest thing about She was previously engaged, but called off the marriage at the last minute." Stupidity is making the same mistake again and again

That's amazing! I didn't notice this but I just this very minute finished reading the Wikipedia page for this series and it does actually state, "many of the costumes had previously been used in the then-recent adaptations of Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma and Vanity Fair." Well spotted!
