Reggie was one of the greatest during his era, and the definition of loyal being drafted by Indiana and staying his whole career (1987-2005). He hardly ever dunked, so when he did this, it blew everyones mind. I expected a pull-up 3

they expected a quick clutch 3 off the screen and he took it to the basket instead... high basketball IQ right there.

0:03 Reggie Miller dunks the basketball 🏀 on Aaron Williams and Kenyon Martin to tie the game with 3 seconds to go in overtime (forces double overtime) in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals

I recalled he had another two handed jam between Ewing and (Oakely?) in critical moment, I could still remember it after nearly two decades.

That shot was way beyond midcourt and he banked it in to force overtime. During OT, Reggie went for this dunk and sent the game to a 2nd OT where the Pacer's couldn't keep pace and eventually lost to the Nets. That game was really good to watch, but heartbreaking to see Miller end his career.

True. I remember Reggie saying that was one of his biggest regrets. He said "In hindsight I should've dunked it."

Bird was very stuck in his ways, I forgot about that. His insistence on rotating people on and off the floor at certain points in the game regardless of how they were playing kept the team from playing with the natural flow of the young Laker team. He was too rigid, however he took the team to great heights after they got tired of listening to Larry Brown.

@marcgcw496 Lebron has a championship, but I guess he technically doesn't have a ring till the start of this season. Anyways your post was from July, Where were you when Lebron won weeks prior? Btw Reggie had a serious two hand dunk the year b4 his last season in the NBA.

This is very interesting video. Bird was a great player, but he screwed Reggie Miller and all Pacer fans when he became our coach. In 2000, we played the Lakers for the NBA championship. Coach Bird started his buddy Chris Mullin instead of Jalen Rose. Mullin was a good player in his day, but, by then, he was old. Mullin consistently got beat defensively and just bricked 3 pointers. Rose should have started and Austin Croshere should have gotten more time. Bird fucked it up.

They didn't call the foul because the NBA didn't want to see Indiana win because of the small market. Just look at what they did to SACtown in 2002. It's sad that David Stern is such a money grabbing prick and now he's ruined the NBA this season.
