I think Snoop was the cause when he sided with Big and Puff in NY. That let of a chain of events where Tupac and Suge got into it and Tupac felt he can't be representin death row anymore because of argument with Suge regarding Snoops betrayal, there were much likely tensions before because of money disputes and August 27th incident and this was just the final piece. Tupac was more or less forced to agree with Suge to do death row east where he needed the label fully behind him and not in front of him blocking such plans by inner conflicts. So when this happened it attacked his principles of loyalty and realness which he needed and demanded more than ever before when going to war with the east and taking over. He was ready to go there because of his principles but I would say he was more or less forced to do so. Death row east was Suges idea pushing the east coast westcoast beef and narrative and tryin to makin money of it while keepin 2Pac on the short leash. So I guess it was cancelled by Pac like Michael Moore said, he didnt want anything to do with death row anymore after Suge almost laid hands on him and he said he was a dead man walking when already on the airport on the way to the plane, so this comment was not because he didnt feel save on the east coast with his label(mates) quarreling. The conflicts where not over and Tupac had enough.

Unfortunately ppl felt that they had to pick a side. Obviously if you were friends to Tupac, you'd side with Pac and vice versa for Biggie. As an adult, all that violence in rap and real life at that time was dumb. And the music back then is the reason why we have Drill music and hurt our communities...
