This video actually starts as an excellent example for viewers of things like Olympic diving to understand what a "no splash" looks like. It's really informative to see where People start out and would it actually feel like for a normal person to attempt to hop off these platforms!! Shout out to everybody for doing something pretty scary and conquering those fears and doing a pretty solid job of it!!
When I was in college I took a water safety class and we were learning how to survive if we went into water from a great height. We had to jump from 33 feet up, like this, or we got a 0 on the assignment. This group rocked it!

Pro divers could dive high as they practiced from lowest to highest stages by stages and got used to the highest. Our fears are the guard to our safety and the right way to tackle the fear is going by levels that takes time and practices, not drastically challenge beyond our norm, otherwise it could harm the nerves and senses. There's a reason why fear exists. Fear does not stop people, it guides.

You should do it! I am/was afraid of heights and took up diving (more springboard than platform) as an adult just to see if I could do it, and I still remember the first time I got back to the edge of the pool and realized that I did a full run, jump, dive without even thinking! I'm actually still afraid of things like balconies on tall buildings but jumping deliberately from the board feels like I'm in control. (Also wearing swim leggings and a swim shirt and a nose clip, not the most elegant but it takes the sting out of minor smacks.)

When I was young, around 10, there was a local pool that had a 10m platform. I learned to jump off of it and even take a few straight dives. I one time decided... I'm going to do this, I'm going to flip! I got 3/4 of the way around and then splatted on my back. It hurt. Sucked the wind out of me. Decided I'd never try that again! So I played sharks and minnows instead. I had some good lung power. Now that I'm older, I wonder if I could do the 10m.

I've jumped off cliffs over 15 meters high, and for some reason it feels a lot less scary than diving off a 10 meter olympic diving platform. There's something about looking down at that pool, where it just looks so tiny and unwelcoming a target. Hilarious, because all the rocks that could be under the cliff landing are of course more dangerous, it just doesn't feel that way.

Hey guys, I just want to let you know that Jesus loves you so much that he died for you. He didn't want Heaven without you so he gave up his life on the cross and rose again. When he did that, he justified us with God, and he paid the full price of our sins, we just need to accept the gift he has given us. To accept this gift, you need to confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that he rose again and you will be saved. Romans 10:9-11 says, "9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”" . Jesus is coming back, not to be happy with everyone, but rather he is coming to get his bride, the people of Christ. Jesus will not be coming back in the desert or in secret chambers, HE will be coming back on the CLOUDS! Be ready people, turn to him and repent of your sins. JESUS CHRIST IS KING of Kings, and LORD of Lords!! Seek holiness and not the things of the flesh. Sports are not more important than Jesus Christ, gifts are not more important than Jesus Christ, NOTHING is more important than Jesus Christ. I'm telling you, he is coming back soon, God bless you all!

@AlanLamb11

I was surprised the advice to keep hands raised- the biggest slaps often are from leaning back or on the bottoms of the arms entering the water waving. Safer entry is arms on the sides but that does require good balance which gets increasingly more difficult the higher the jump. Also there is a huge difference between jumping and diving above 7 meters. I used to regularly dive 3-7 meters and occasionally 10 but then I once dove from 20 meters... ouch. You have to be nearly perfect entering the water and I was maybe 1 inch not square in my shoulders/hands and really hurt my shoulder and had a slight concussion from my hands not fully covering my head. Last summer I dove from 12 meters after not having practiced for a few years and the first dive was perfect and I got too confident and went for twists on the 2nd... that was painful.

It was so fun and immediately did it again. The only one I wanted to do but never did was a straight flip of 7 backwards but I was going to do it it a friend but the jump before he over rotated and didn’t want to do it again until later that day. I realy hope I can do it again one day. Most of the kids there were like 10-18 But I was 10 and one kid was 7 and was crazy good. The teachers there were spectacular!!!!

They had a 10 meter platform at a local pool in Germany, jumped off of it many times. Scary, but SUCH A RUSH!!!

That’s such an awesome experiment!! 🥰 I’m so proud of everyone. I used to cliff dive with friends as kids, but it’s been probably 20 years since I have. My highest was 15 meters, and that was absolutely terrifying. lol. Super fun, though. 💪🏻

I would do a running jump off a cliff around 10 meters I’d say in a rock quarry for yrs…..u don’t realize how dangerous shit can be when you’re a child thinking you’re invincible

I used to jump off a 5m railway bridge into water that was far too shallow when I was a kid. You just don't think 😂
