Higuchi is one of those underrated wrestlers. He got second and won a silver in Rio while he deserved a Gold olympic medal! In my opinion refferees made him lose to Khinchegashvili from Georgia in that final match. I am happy that he is back.

I know everyone is complaining about the calls, but why was Gross taking shallow shots and getting himself extended? He didn't look at his best.

Seth Gross is so unorthodox, it just feels like I'm watching something weird. I actually feel for the ref that gets stuck officiating his matches.

Seth cross has too many folk style tendencies. Needs more work in developing his freestyle.

Wow, Gross was absolutely robbed here. Terrible call! And they actually had a Chace to review it and came to the same conclusion. So clear to see that he initiated the move. Wowwowow

@@spadger2468 why do you sound so sure about that? He would have been winning 9-6 with 49 seconds left. Could he have still lost? Sure it’s possible. But to say he definitely still would have lost up 9-6 with 49 seconds left is a bit of a reach

Worst refereeing in history. Unbelievable. Seth turns him and they give the Japanese 4 points. Fire the referee that was disgusting. Must have been a Serb referee. They hate us. Those horrific calls cost Seth the match. Protest that garbage. That guy stalled the entire match not one warning...Seth was the aggressor and they ding him. I guess we had too many gold medals... When the wrestler imitates a turn it's not automatic 2 points for the other wrestler if he exposes his own back. They were giving the Japanese 2 points every time Seth initiated a turn.

Unless you have already secured the takedown, it basically is a free 2 points to your opponent if you go over your own back. It's completely different than folkstyle. It has been this way since the beginning of freestyle wrestling.

Gross gives up to many points just diving in for shots with no set up and scrambling. Not the best recipe for long term international success. It’s a shame because he could have won the match
