Of the countless times i've watched Emily and Andrew perform these songs on KZitem I have never had them look me in the eye while they sing and play. Feels like i'm sitting with them. Also makes it much easier to pick out the chords while I try and keep up! Love you both 💗

I am trying to understand why this band is not on every number 1 chart in the nation. The music is a new genre in itself and the players were brave enough to "play it anyway". I'm so thankful they have, I love this new sound that is coming out of more musicians especially a handful of the younger ones !

It's easy to be fooled by the lovely music played. Playing in front of a hard surface like here is a standard recording no-no. It introduces nasty short delay reverb which colours and muddies the sound. This recording is good enough to tell they are great performers but a cleaner recording would have showcased them a lot better IMO.
@tdb517
Жыл бұрын
@@oldgoody1 This is obviously a special cabin chosen for its intense, short reverb. This is a very natural sounding recording, it sounds much better than what a "clean" close micing, no reverb room would've done in my opinion.
@oldgoody1

@@tdb517 It looks like the musicians themselves recorded it. Would they claim to be experts in sound recording and production?
@tdb517
Жыл бұрын
@@oldgoody1 So a recording only sounds good when an expert did it? I'm a sounder engineer and I think this sounds pretty nice, it's a very typical modern type of folk recording with a very short but strong reverb, almost bathroom-like. The balance between the instruments and voices is great, sounds very natural overall. I don't really care if an expert recorded this, it just sounds good to my ears

Stumbled across "take this heart of gold" was flored!! Been a drummer since the age of 12 . When I listened to the rest of blind faller it became number one on my " rare, great entire album " list . It's a small list. On top of that they inspired me to start playing the guitar. That was about 11 months ago . K now own 17 guitar and an acoustic bass. Picked up the guitar pretty quickly but have a ton to learn. Marlin is masterful as much as his counter part is . Hope to someday see them.
