Is it just we are were movies and TV shows a lot warmer back in the 80s and 90s? The pacing was slower and the colors were warmer. It seems more holistic and pure, almost like a 'welcome home' feeling. I miss that

I dont want to lose the beautiful aesthetics of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s to history. Each decade of the 20th century, and the first of the 21st, gave us a distinct, beautiful aesthetic to appreciate. Only in the 2010s on did people decide that to be "clever" they had to go with a lack of aesthetic, as the aesthetic.

Could I please make a request.....could you make an hour long episodes of 1990s TV segments please?? For example Jan 1991 channel surfing for an hour or two, Feb 1991 another hour or two etc... That would be like reliving the 1990s all over again. That would be amazing!!!

I absolutely love this channel and I thought I was alone in my love of the 90s aesthetic. To he honest, I loved the 1990s. I see some of the shows and TV commercials from the 90s here on KZitem and I see that it was such great time in my life. Thank you for the content on your channel. I find that the content from the 50s and 60s very relaxing but I find I perk up when I see 90s content. Thank you and keep up the good work.

This is genius, I've been falling asleep to this particular video for weeks. Now I really need to know the name of the song! +picsandportraits Really enjoy this concept of "media as sleep aid", specially the curator's sensibility. Perfect ending. I've had insomnia for many years... This is different to other stuff I've used before. If I may only suggest to add some compression to the audio to prevent volume spikes, they can interrupt the process of falling to sleep sometimes... For example at 10:45 10/10 love this.

Lots of interesting show titles in that public access programming lineup at the end. I am most intrigued by "That Which Is With John Rogers" ... it sounds like the title of a Lovecraftian short story ... you don't want to know about the thing accompanying John Rogers everywhere he goes! He can't get rid of it!

That "K-Mart Solutions" system is like proto-Amazon, except in the store (which would've probably been necessary given overall net connectivity at the time). They could've migrated it directly to the Internet once broadband became widely available, and maybe they wouldn't have been utterly obliterated by Walmart and Amazon.

Its def the mellowness of the audio in these commercials and videos. Today everything is in your face...its annoying as hell. The 90s wasn’t calm. Maybe on TV shows. It was grunge or gangsta.
@jaquen1977

WTF are you talking about? You can’t classify an entire decade by a couple genres of music. Which leads me to think you either weren’t alive in the 90s or were born so late in it you can’t remember it

@@Y2Kr4SHM4N Are you really that dense that you can’t see how stupid it is to suggest an entire 10 block period of time can’t be “calm” because two genres of music were popular? Do you think that we all just walked around and Gangsta Rap and Grunge was playing on loud speakers 24/7, in every single place on planet earth?
@Y2Kr4SHM4N
3 жыл бұрын
@@jaquen1977 Speaking of dense. If my username is Y2Krashman, as in Y2K Crash, would that imply I am too young to remember the 90s? Would it not infer that I’ve likely had said user name since well prior to the 21st century? Perhaps from a certain era of dialup internet? Stop. Analyse. Think.
@jaquen1977
3 жыл бұрын
@@Y2Kr4SHM4N Plenty of kids who were born after 2000 are obsessed with what they now call the “Y2K era”. Your username actually works against your point. And you’re also just throwing up a straw man. No matter when you were born, your post is nonsense. The idea that the mere existence of two genres of music has anything to do with how calm a decade was is just absolute idiocy.
