I'm 26 years old. It's so crazy to think this happened 25 years ago. I'm so sorry this had to happen to such beautiful kids. God bless all the families🤍

I would have to agree with you, because I remember this tragedy, I was at my house in Danville, bottle-feeding my 1-month-old newborn daughter named Sydney, my 6-year-old son named Tyler was sick with the flu, He was in his bedroom watching on the TV, his favorite movie "Babar King of the Elephants" (Animated), I had just got done burping Baby Sydney, and was lying her down in the Basinet to take her nap, when I looked and saw this happening on the news, I quickly took Baby Sydney to her nursery, laid her down in her crib, walked out of the Nursery and closed the door behind me, I went to Tyler's Room and told him not to go into the living room, I went back to the living room and watched this happening. R.I.P to those who lost their Lives.

The lives of the 13 innocent victims should never be forgotten - but, in a very different way, the two monsters responsible for this tragedy should not be forgotten, either. Sadly, while mental health has come a long way in 25 years, gun control laws have not, and at least once or twice a year we are still dealing with these awful events.

I was in 8th grade going into high school when this happened. My sister is a year ahead of me so she was already there. This made me terrified of going to high school! I was already a fat kid and awkward, an ugly duckling per se lol! By my senior year I was the prom queen and a stellar athlete and student. I also ended up at the top of a few list turned in about who a person was going to kill at school. I was a nerd still. Didn’t go to parties, hung out with my sister all the time, worked out a lot, and when I won prom queen and turned around and yelled to my outcast group of friends… “We Won!!!!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHH”!!!!! It wasn’t just about me that night! It was about all of us that didn’t fit in! I was nice to everyone and helped whomever I could and am still that way! So when I found out about who wrote one of the lists my heart shattered! It was a teammate of mine that I looked out for constantly!

I was just 6 years old when this happened and I remember my mom discussing it with her friends and my teacher for several days. I was thinking “gosh, that’s all they ever talk about.” Little did my six year old brain know the big deal this was.

The Klebold and Harris families also lost a son and a brother on that terrible day. Eric and Dylan weren't born monsters. The circumstances caused this tragedy. Do not get me wrong. It is not my intention to diminish the memory of the victims. I just want to point out that every medal has two sides. May all 15 who died on April 20, 1999 rest in peace.
