After Cheryl’s conversation her father, Roy Rogers, stay tuned for a special Tribute by Robert Blake speaking at the Golden Boot Awards in 1998, shortly after Roy's death. Blake's comments are followed by an episode of THE ROY ROGERS SHOW starring Roy, Dale, Trigger, Bullet, Pat Brady and guest star Blake in the 1956 episode, “Paleface Justice.”
Roy Rogers’ eldest daughter, Cheryl Rogers-Barnett, remembers what it was like to grow up with the heroes of millions of other children, Roy Rogers, and Dale Evans. It was great! Plus, Robert Blake shares his memory of Roy helping him during a tumultuous period. Heartfelt stories about the King of the Cowboys.
Cheryl had a most unusual playground. It was the movie studio backlot. That meant Republic Studios and hanging out with B Western heroes. Her favorite was B western star Allan “Rocky” Lane, later to become famous as the voice of TV’s “Mister Ed, the Talking Horse.”
Join Cheryl, as she remembers and discusses the two photo filled books she's written about her experiences. They are “The Cowboy Princess” and, appropriately, “The Cowboy Princess Rides Again.”
For viewers and fans of A WORD ON WESTERNS, Cheryl shared her stories for producer host Rob Word and a roomful of fans inside the Autry Museum’s Sagebrush Café, recorded in 2016.
