I vehemently agree with everything you have said. The first game delighted me just like this one after so many games leavimg me kinda meh, and I won't just reiterate what you have said. So just know you helped me start to enjoy and get a bit nerdy into making builds for this game and others, As well as the delightful trucks and secrets of this world. I think one of my favorite things is it feels like the world is deligted as well when you discover some things. My pure joy when the awakened king was baffled and enraged by my hubris in wearing so much of his and his family's gear and the dagger that 'killed' him. I never felt as cool and immersed as when he reacted to what i thought was a sneaky slight against him.

PLANS & WHAT IS LEFT FOR R2: Plans: I'll continue to do TFD videos as I have been, but I will probably look for another game to start playing alongside it. R2: I'll still maintain the website, but I'm not doing any more build videos. Why? There's a balance patch later that would invalidate any builds I make right now, and I hate repeating myself even in videos when that might make me more money, I just hate it guys. I understand why they pushed the balance patch to after the DLC so they could focus on its development, and I support that decision, but the inevitable result of that is someone like me, feeling like I do now about it. This is a sentiment none of you should share with me, it should be unique to me, which is why I didn't mention it in the video, it's just how things panned out.

The amount of legendary prism effects they added just added years of grinding to this game. 45% bonus to all damage, 75% ranged damage boost, your second archetype can also use its prime perk, to an 1 additional summon you can have. It’s crazy. I want so many of these effects on other prisms. I can see myself expanding upon so many of my Loadouts. It’s okay if we don’t get more builds, it’s time for the students to use all the things their Remnant teacher has given them lol

We need balancing tho, cuz people like to say that it's stupid to nerf things in pve, but it's just a matter of feelings and I get it it feels bad to see stuff you like getting nerfed. On the other end, the feeling of demolishing every boss in 15 seconds is not great either, and my friends and I very much prefer a medium long fight than a 15 seconds 1 dodge fight thanks to all these busted grindy legendary prisms

Remnant 2 is an unapologetic masterpiece, that's not a word I use often, but it's appliquable here. One of the things I care most about it effort on the part of developers, for instance, most of Destiny 2 exhudes low effort, whereas everything in Remnant 2 lets you feel the effort that went into it, you can tell with every new release that it was built to be as good as possible, not just to sell something with as little work as possible.

They now work perfectly every time, and I'm enjoying this game almost all over again, helping people figure out secrets with nothing but emotes! I like to think someone saw it and it got fixed. We played the first DLC when it released but haven't played it since then and now we've got two more DLCs to go through. Yesterday was a hoot. Remembered how fun it was, how great it was to build craft and the challenge. Especially this sodding puzzle dungeon filled with traps. 😂 Been a lot of fun being back. And then this video drops. 😅

Fun fact you actually can load into multiplayer games from the start screen as long as you are joining from something like a steam invite. Also I think the technical limitation that makes you load into the world to be able to join someone is due to how multiplayer is setup in regards to the limitation of not being able to join a hardcore game without a hardcore character. I'm mainly guessing that this is the case because back when the game came out if you directly joined a player (ie through steam) you could join a hardcore world without being on a hardcore character, but if you loaded into the game and tried to join using the ingame join methods it would not allow you to bypass the hardcore restriction.

Remnant 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games ever. The only thing I could ask for from the devs is make a survival mode for Remnant 2 😭Boss rush is fun and gets you into the action immediately, but the rogue-lite element of Survival in Remnant 1 made the game truly infinitely replayable. Either a Survival mode in Remnant 2 or making Remnant 1 60 fps on consoles would make me the happiest man in the world.

i remember tragic saying in an interview something like "i hate replaying a game i finished, so i wanted to make a game that will never be the same no matter how many times you play it, a game i would love to replay" and like, sure probably it was hyperbolic, there are so many dungeons a world can have still this game is REPLAYABLE before this last dlc i had 200 hours and i got almost everything combine this insane amount of things to get, with the pretty solid combat and an even more insane degree of very viable to outright cheesy build options that's some really long high quality time you get from this game

Sad to hear about no more build videos but I understand where you’re coming from. Thanks to you you’ve provided me with tons of fun builds (especially the unkillable ones) R1 was a huge favorite and knowing R2 was coming excited me. I stumbled across your channel and boy you didn’t disappoint. I love your humor, the way you go into deep deep detail about why you pick what you pick and explain it. Most R2 content creators DONT do that and you definitely point that out. So thank you for everything! Love TFD videos too. Yeah. Remnant 2 has been a breath of fresh air. Just feels like a proper video game where the Devs want you to have fun. I love finding new ways to play and then optimizing the hell out of them. If you want another game with phenomenal build crafting, you should check out Monster Hunter Rise. Many people would suggest starting with Monster Hunter: World if you're new to the series. There's merit to that but the end game build diversity is a bit limited. Rise (especially with its' DLC "Sunbreak") is still a great game and the set building is second to none. To give you an idea of the sheer quantity of fun play-styles, the game has 224 load out slots and I filled each of them with unique builds after EVERY SINGLE TITLE UPDATE. I get the feeling you'd also lose thousands of hours to the equipment menu. You can absolutely "nerd out" to the same extent as Remnant 2 and the excellent combat is just icing on the cake.

Remnant from the Ashes is my favorite game, I really like Remnant 2 and love the design of Losomn which looks like Bloodborne's Yharnam 2.0. But I'm a little disappointed with the last DLC. The Boss Rush feels like a sellout. Apocalypse in the boss rush is comparable in difficulty to Veteran in the campaign and you get gifted items that you previously had to spend hundreds of hours questing for. In my opinion, Remnant 1, even with 1000 trait points awarded, was much more balanced than Remnant 2, where only tanks run around on higher difficulty Levels. Not to mention the fact that with Reisum you had an additional biome…. I hope that one day Remnant 3 will be released with Yaesha, Rhom, Corsus, Losomn, N'erud, Earth, Reseium, Labyrinth (and maybe a new biome) and better balancing. PS Danke Vash für deine tollen Videos!

Through the months checking back here to reference your R2 stuff, I've deeply appreciated the way you speak and generally conduct yourself in your videos. Anyone else talking about this game on this platform, and I'm barely hyperbolizing, would be yelling in my ear at minimum volume. Your demeanor combined with the way you've explained what you're doing and why you're doing it at every turn has made this an enjoyable place to stick around. It's a small thing stacked up against all the other work you've put into talking about this game, but I just wanted to say something. It's been appreciated.

I love this game to death but it breaks my heart that they never worked on optimization.

I like remnant 1 better than 2. 2 just feel like and upgrade and downgrade at the same time for me

It's a shame you won't make a video about the Prism System.

On your build diversity point, you say that me not getting an item is due to me being lazy. I spent 8 hours in one day resetting an adventure world, racing to check a dungeon spawn point (it only has 1 node it spawns on) and resetting when it was there. This takes 20-30 minutes a piece. It consists solely of me running through the map, fighting one boss, running through the map again to check the node. I repeated this process on 2 other days, for a combined 24 hours dedicated to trying to do just 1 secret for a weapon. I still have not been successful, and i burnt myself out on the game for a few weeks because of this. I dont hate the game or devs for this, the rng just hasnt been in my favor. But it genuinely sucks to have put this much effort in for no reward, and it makes me wish we could "seed" our adventure worlds

Mods are certainly required for some weapons to be acquired in a reasonable amount of time (the anguish quest)

The Remnant series is my absolute favorite. Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2 are just soooooo fun. I haven't been able to play the most recent DLC though because I'm busy with college, and I am also dreading getting back into it now that I'm so rusty lol. Can't wait to play soon and 100% it like I always do 😄. Also I'm def gonna have to make some friends on discord because none of my irl friends play this game unfortunately.

If you have not yet, look into and 100% The Binding of Isaac. It is a solo experience but there is 1k varied and very fulfilling hours there waiting for you. The isometric view is strange to adjust to at first and playing with a controller is almost mandatory but once you are used to both, it is a game that will have you completely addicted.

>Controller >almost mandatory Huh. I can't even imagine trying to play it on controller at this point. I've only ever used keyboard and it works so amazingly!

Great video, but Im not quite sure with the multiplayer thing, me and my friends play on steam and I was able to join their worlds without having to join mine first???
@VashCowaii

I'm aware of being able to join through steam, but a game shouldn't need to rely on joining through steam. That's the point, that without it you HAVE to load into your own game first before joining someone else
