Ammonia free windex, but I don't use ammonia free windex for tinting, only for cleaning afterwards... but yeah, you're correct: don't use windex w/ammonia...
@davidjohnson8655
Жыл бұрын
We use dish soap cleaning windows professionally, we often clean windex off windows. He isn't using windex to clean it though, just to dissolve residue that soap wont easily remove. Windex is not for squeegee use, its designed to wipe off relatively streak free, but still has a residue that needs soap to clean off, ammonia or not. Based on how the window looks and that he said he used "soapy water" it seems he knows this, he cleaned the window like a pro after using the windex and scraped. I'd say ammonia doesn't matter, you cant skip the soap and squeegee, and that process cleans off remaining residue.
@davidjohnson8655
Жыл бұрын
@@CLMcrawlers Windex is horrible for cleaning windows, just use soap and water with a squeegee like this guy and every pro window cleaner. Goof off removes everything, but windex can be used to dissolve things. You still have to use soap and a squeegee or there will b a residue that is designed to be temporarily invisible. He didnt even need windex if he has a scraper, but it probably makes it much easier.
