Cowboy, thank you so much for this video! Only took about 10 minutes and 9 of those minutes were trying to reconnect the rubber strap (I have bruises to prove it)! Thanks again for the sound advice!

It can definitely be done but it’s ridiculous that they didn’t just make that access panel about inch bigger on all sides.

Thank you for taking the time to record, edit and upload this video. I'm a new owner of a Seadoo Spark and while the battery was removed while being professionally winterized, I will be the one installing it in coming weeks. Like you eluded to, it's not rocket science, but other videos show the entire top being removed. Sometimes less is more!

The Kung Fu grip solves yet another problem in the world. Thanks for the great video - just got a used spark 3up with only 10 hours on it. Can't wait to put that thing in and have some fun :)

There is a very easy way to remove and replace the battery from the side door. Use a long plastic tie down feed the male end (flat end) thru the left terminal pull all the way until the female end (square feed) is flush with the left terminal. Continue to feed the male end through the right terminal you may have to feed it through twice so it’s holds. You’ve now made a handle to pull the battery straight out of the hole. Very easy first try every time.

How do you get the strap back on?

Just stretch it back over or use a long set of needle nose pliers

Great video, I struggled with the strap for a while but then found an easy way to do it. Pull hard on the strap to stretch it out and use your other thumb to hold that tension against the top of the battery so your other hand can easily loop the strap around the latch. Really easy that way, no kung fu grip required.

auto trim removal tool, the claw part fits the rubber holding the metal ring, then you just stretch it down. I've tried long needle nose it's just frustrating, with that other tool you can do it with one hand which is all you can fit in there if your holding a light to try to see what you are doing. Battery removal/replacement is a total pain in the ass on these skis for no reason other than the designers where aholes and didn't make the access panel big enough.

Let's see. " You grab it. Get it up as far as you can with two hands. Get you a man grip. Take it. Turn it. Then get it elongated. Pull it up. Grab it again. Get it out the hole. Pull it out. "... I should be really good at this.

I've done it a few times before, if i ever have to it again I think I will just cut the ski in half and go sink it somewhere. And for the love of life don't drop one of those bolts that hold the cable to the battery post.
