I bought the jack from harbor freight $89 and 18in. Pipe wrench $12 worked like a dream! Thanks👍🏾👍🏾

This Method works in a pinch, but having a Chain with a biting hook on end and a has-e u-bolt on the other end Learn the way to wrap chain 2 wraps over and under then wrap the bitter end of the chain up and over and us the hook to lock on the chain about to be tensioned the chain becomes a pipe slip with grip on a pipe better than any wrench only thing that chain can do is get tighter. it may move a few inches before it gets tight at first but it won't after that it will crush the pipe before it moves again. If it continued to slip you did not wrap the chain right.

Very confusing description of how to wrap chain. Is there a video somewhere of this?

Excellent video... Thanks for sharing. Could you please give specific details on the jack you purchased as well as the pipe wrench. I was given a free fence like this and I'm a middle aged woman, which would make it possible for me to remove. Thank you for any consideration. Yours, by far, was the smartest video on this diy subject!

How do you get the cross pipes to separate? I’ve got about 10 and I can’t pull them apart. I’ve tried turning them with pipe wrenches and they just spin around without separating.

Never messed with chain link. Plan to soon remove an existing one I plan to purchase then reinstall on my property. How easily (or is it even feasible?) Can it be removed and transported all assembled still?
