I've found using an oven works really well. It's the quickest and easiest way I've found. I put several in the oven for a few minutes at somewhere around 350. After heating them I leave the door open to keep them warm while I use a window paint scraper (razor blade) and peel the labels off.

What I find that work well, is to take a hair dryer and set it to high, then heat up the label's. Most of them come off without leaving any residue.

I've found that using a metal dough scraper is awesome if I run it horizontally rather than vertically. It's about 4" x 6" and I sharpen it with our kitchen knife sharpener. It gives me a lot of control and scrapes a lot more of the bottle at once.

A stainless steel pot scrubber works great for removing adhesive and label fragments. A window scraper or sinfle edge razor blade is also great for removing soaked labels.

I clean my bottles similarly and any residue I use an SOS pad to clean them off in a sink filled with a little water. Does a nice job.

I just did 20 the other day. Fill the bottle with very hot water and place in a container fill of also very hot water. Most only took a minute or 2 and the label was floating in the water. If there was some glue stuck to it peanut butter works very good at taking it off and you don't have any poisons contacting bottles.

I boil my used bottles. This removes the labels and sanitizes. Then I used WD 40 to remove the glue.

10 minutes in 300 degree oven makes for easy peeling. Mineral spirits on 000 steel wool gets glue residue off easily.

May I suggest that you first scratch your labels with a wallpaper scratchier called "Paper Tiger" , that allows your additive penetrate the label for an easier label removal.

Stick your labels on using milk. Dab your finger in saucer of milk, then rub around edge of label. Stick on bottle. When time to remove, comes off with warm water.....😜

solvent glue should be outlawed! I do mine in a pot of hot water after putting about a cup of water inside. the water is just below boiling. then I scrape the label off with a Razer blade (some are easier than others) and scrub off the glue with a green meanie and soap.

I know! It seems like more and more wines are using them now too. They are probably paranoid of a label coming off in transport.
