ants threes 2 schools of thought on beavers 1 they cut trees and flood land 2 cutting trees and flooding land promotes aquifer regeneration habitat for wildlife and wetlands which filter pollutants leaving fresh flowing water, i am not going to decide which is more correct for your situation... another solution is to remove the ditch by laying pipe and burrying it removing the oppertunity for beavers to follow there instict to slow flowing water. thanks for the videos

Take care of your ankle, Andris! I blew the ligaments in my ankle some years ago and didn't realize I had done so much damage because the swelling went down and it healed. I later discovered that the rest of my body and the other leg had to do all the work stabilizing the weaker side. I had the ankle repaired 6 months ago and the difference is striking!. So, please get it diagnosed and taken care of.

A brush grapple for your bobcat would be very handy, but they are $1,900 used where I live, also a wood chipper or grinder would get rid of your brush piles and the chips/mulch feeds the new trees. And a knuckle boom rotating head for your excavator would greatly speed up the stacking process.

@SuperDriver379
4 ай бұрын
@@Ants_Pants I have a good plasma cutter, and I don’t know if I could make one for much cheaper than they are going for, they’re made of 11 hardened 14mm c shape pieces welded to 10mm tube steel to form the rake and 10 more the same way to form the grab, or upper claw, with a hydraulic cylinder on each side to open and close them. If you can find a good used one, and that’s a big if, it’s usually the most time efficient way to go about it, because really the only wearable components are the cylinders, and the bushings they ride on. The rest is mostly all hard steel. I haven’t watched this guys video, but the thumbnail is the type of brush grapple I am referring to. But if you’ve got suitable metal around, that design is the hardest to break, though I would have two additional center pivot pins for strength over that design in the thumbnail. I’ve worked with that style and the bucket type, that are like a bucket built out of vertical flat bars, sometimes called a “rock bucket” that style catches alot of debris, and is more fragile than the style that looks like a bulldozer rake with a hydraulic claw on the top. kzitem.info/news/bejne/rYmbrquhi2SEoqQsi=jPcPGl5bkypqX6ME

I think neat and orderly stacks of logs for firewood is something that only happens on a persons neighbors land, and in fairy tales. Doesn't matter how much time you spend neatly stacking and sorting, the moment you pause and look at your handwork it turns into an unholy mess. It's some sort of magic. My father was caretaker of a camp around 1980 in the arid foothills north of Los Angeles. We contacted the forestry service which gave us 5000 seedling native trees. Dial the years forward to the present. That 54 acres of camp can easily be found on Google earth standing out as the only conifer forest within 100 miles in any direction.

Had a thought. I'm thinking about using all that brush and other tree stuff for the area you have been talking about putting gravel or removing the dirt. Could spreading the wood stuff around and drive over it with the bulldozer and doing some pivot steering. Mixing the wood and dirt. Then you can say you have a composite work area lol I think it would give a better surface to place gravel - so the gravel doesn't sink into the ground

@@Ants_Pants I think you are right. You would have to use a powerful wood chipper to do it, it would take to long if you did not. Because you would still have dirt on top of the broken / chipped wood.
