Absolutely excellent video instruction. I just found the pins stuck into my motorcycle caliper and tried a few things, but, I will try these as well.

Thank you so much, will try your methods. I brought new pins as the old ones are damaged with all the hammering.

Great job, I had the same problem this morning. I got one out ok but the lower one was seized. I made a short (3/4") punch from the shank of the same dia drill bit, held it with mole grips and hit it squarely and firmly with a decent sized hammer (luckily my pins did not protrude beyond the face of the caliper so there was less chance of rivetting)

Excellent idea bunnybr - using a dremel (other makes are available). Cut 12mm out of the centre of each pin. Remove caliper then slide brake pads thru the gap. Refit caliper, cut pins again but this time level with the caliper getting them fairly flat then punch out. Rear pins can be punched out by going over the top of the caliper and down onto the pin.

All those techniques while a good start failed with both my Brembo caliper pins. Even carefully heating a localized area around the pin did not work. I had a Eureka moment thinking an impact action could break the corrosion and free the pin. I had an air powered high speed impact nailer and applied it to the end of a road positioned on the end of the truncated pin. Ra ta ta ta and out it came. The second equally easy. I could have saved myself hours trying this technique first!!! Jim

Make sure they are copper greased before they go in and take them off and clean them regularly. That is a sure way of being able to get them out without breaking them.

Stupid thing I have seen today. Heat the caliper using burner, apply WD 40, use the punch and they'll come off.
