Sam is an absolute delight. If ever you get to hear the story of how they met, it's incredibly sweet. They did a song called Blind Eyed. It went viral for a bit. There's a version of it where they did it in a parking structure for the acoustics. They got themselves run off by the attendant. It was kind of funny. Sam has his own channel on which he releases his own music. Also I think you might appreciate Ren's song Patience. It's got this incredible energy to it. Also his duet Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla is amazing.

Another enjoyable reaction. Ren's and Sam Tompkins' performances (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned It /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon/No Diggity,” “Feeling Good/Trouble So High/Masterblaster (Jammin'),” “Latch,” “Wild Thoughts/Crazy in love (Live Session),” “Same Old Situation (Live, feat. Ren),” “What Went Wrong” Part I&II) are all awesome. Sam Tompkins is a singer/songwriter from Brighton, UK, born in 1997. He is an incredible artist. Sam has a number of songs, "Bloodline," "Hero," "Follow Suit," “Whole,” and “Not So Grey,” that address some serious issues like family, mental health, suicide, and other struggles. "You Broke my Heart So Gently," "Critical," "You're The Love Of My Life," "Lose It All," “Google Luv,” and his cover of Tears For Fears' "Mad World" are beautiful, but his entire catalog is well-worth listening to. I usually prefer the acoustic version of his songs over the pop version, as I am generally not much into pop, hip-hop, or rap. There are very few artists in these genres I will listen to and actually enjoy.

So glad to see you loving Ren and his cohorts! You mentioned Prince at one point and then later Ren put distortion into his guitar and it kinda sounded like “When Doves Cry” (just for a second or two). Anyway, there is still so much more for you to absorb from Ren, Sam, The Big Push and I don’t think you checked him out with Chinchilla yet. “Chalk Outlines” (Live) and “How to be Me” (Live). Still have his rap stuff, but in that, may I suggest check out his old school homage with “What You Want”.

The guitar bit at the end is clearly inspired by Eddie Hazel's masterpiece "Maggot Brain" from Funkadelic. It uses the same ostinato and the guitar tones are spot on. Ren plays his own improvised lead lines, but the inspiration is clear.

Check out the official Sam and Ren video called “Blind Eyed.” It’s more produced than the live versions. Also, Sam’s live video versions of his singles “Lose it all” and “Die for Somebody” where it’s just him, a mic, and a piano player are so good! Love the content brother! Also, there’s a cool video sam posted where he was able to open for Justin Bieber who he has idolized his whole life. It was an epic experience.

So happy your checking #SamTomkins out too, he is amazing. Check out Ren and Sam's Blind Eyed, there are two great live versions, one featuring an angry car park attendant, and the other busking on the streets. One of Sam's idols is Justin Bieber, and there is footage on youtube of Sam when he was asked to support Justin on tour, the moment when they are both on stage together is magic. Kudo's to Justin for supporting Sam the way he did. Brought tears to my eyes. Link below: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qKdormt5rWqFdKQ

Loved your reactions for a long time now. I’m so glad that you are showing Ren love on your channel. I’ve been a disaffected musicophile for about 15 years now. I checked out because ‘the music industry’ or whomever you want to blame just destroyed music imho. I’m baaaack, baby. I heard Dimash Kudaibergen and I play his diverse catalogue daily. Then 10 days ago I discovered Ren. I kept seeing KZitem pushing Hi Ren to the top of my algorithm and my inner skeptic said ‘hell no!’ For 3 MONTHS. *facepalm* I avoided his song ‘Dear God’ for numerous reasons until today. Double damn! I should have known better?! Please check that song out. It’s profound, poetic, sad af and beautiful all at once. I’ve found my Police, Bowie, Prince and modern day urban bard and I’m a happy little musicophile again. Thanks again. Cheers.

Speaking of someone who can hit the high notes with ease did you know that Queen + Adam Lambert are touring the US this fall and have a couple of shows in LA in November. This is a concert you will want to see if you can get tickets. I'm going to their Denver and San Francisco shows. If you haven't seen Queen + Adam Lambert perform Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight you definitely should check it out if just for your personal viewing. It's beautiful!

You should definitely check out more Ren and Sam Tompkins. Especially their original song, "Blind Eyed" BUT NOT the official music video. It's not as good as the live version that you can find on a KZitem channel called "Music Crown" OR you can check out another live video of the same song but it's labeled, "Blind Eyed Featuring the Angry Car Park Attendant" lol it's funny ass hell as they keep signing while getting kicked out of the building, Ren breaks a string and they still kill it! Sam has been opening shows up for Justin Bieber and they get together and hang out lol

The thing about stopping is, you definitely should find sone coins to drop in their bucket. Even if you can only find a 20p (20 cent coin) or less in your pocket. When I’m in the city Center of Glasgow I have 3 £1 coins budgeted. Lots of people fail at this. Rude.
