This is my favorite Prog rock band of all time. I know that makes me probably a bit odd, but it is what it is. I saw this band live the first time I believe in 1980 or 81 in a relatively small venue of about 500 people. Since the I've seen them live say six more times. I've never been disappointed. I love them with this orchestra and I only wished I could've been there.💯 I'm an economist by trade, and we have something called "revealed preference". There's a giant difference between what people say they value and what they actually value. A great example is I recently digitalized my giant CD collection and sold 99% of my CDs -- over 4000 of them. However, I kept Everyone of their CDs The other artist I kept was Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Kate Bush, and The Heart Throbs Then I thought about it. Throughout my life what band have I truly listen to the most. What has inspired me the most, and what music did I never grow out of and never tired of listening to. Yeah, Renaissance 💯🥰💯

A wonderful performance, and thanks for uploading this very much. Annie the only original of the band performing here, but still, was a highlight of my life getting to see her in real life, and made me feel blessed.

Although Annie is the magic voice we remember with Renaissance, she is not an original member. The original female lead singer was Jane Relf..

@@TimOlsen100 Yes, Renaissance has an interesting origin. The Yardbirds. Also, the origin of Led Zeppelin. This band also incorporated Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.

@@TimOlsen100 Indeed. And her brother was Keith Ralph of the Yardbirds. He was also the lead singer of an unknown masterpiece, a band called Armageddon. And guess who the drummer was for the Yardbirds? Jim McCarty --also the drummer in the Yardbirds. Just as an FYI, their first album, Illusion, was a masterpiece. Very different from the later incarnation of the band, but exceptionally enjoyable. 💯

Wow. It seemed throughout the song, the keyboardist (I don't know who he is) had a certain amount of conductorial control over the Orchestra. Though, it looks at the end, he made sure everyone would know it. Interesting. Oh, and the backdrop art is amazing. Lovely actually.

I love Renaissance. Always have. Love Annie, one of my favorite singers. But let's be honest - it took ~ 74 years, far longer than almost any other human, but her voice is gone. A few years ago she still had it, shockingly strong, but this makes me sad. Time to call it a day. Still love you, Annie. Wonderful painter too, thankfully.

She's still better than most other people hehe. But I see what you mean. With a legacy like hers, nothing to be ashamed of.

@@donmeyers3090 I don't know who you think you are, but her voice is not "gone." How pathetic is your need to feel superior enough to tell her to call it a day. Don't talk to me anymore.

@@donmeyers3090 Her voice is not "gone." How pathetic is your need to feel superior, by declaring that she needs to "call it a day." Doesn't sound to me like you love her, or you wouldn't say something like that, even if it were true. I'm not deaf, you're an egomaniac. Don't talk to me anymore.
