Could the Renault Zoe's big brother be the EV for you? Tell us what you think..
@brunosmith6925

You have to be kidding, right? Anyone not putting Tesla at the top of the list of "cars to consider" will be making a big mistake. This Renault is "just another car"- OK so it's EV, but without functional FSD, it's already worthless. Go watch Economic Forecast Guru Tony Seba (who's accurately predicted the disruptions in transport and energy since 2010) and see what his forecasts are for TaaS... Any car incapable of FSD is functionally redundant - yet you guys in the "car review" industry cannot seem to grasp how fast "the car" is becoming irrelevant. This is an "OK" car - but that's all it is... and to buy one is not a wise decision - no matter what the features, or the price.

@@brunosmith6925 I'm just going to copy and paste your 2nd sentence. "Anyone not putting Tesla at the top of the list of "cars to consider" will be making a big mistake." You may be right, I drive a Tesla Model 3 and it's simply the best car I've ever driven and I've driven a LOT of cars. And I have seen Tony Seba deliver a talk, I was in the front row, in Amsterdam. He may be right, he certainly makes massively important points. However there is a huge movement in the wider automotive industry outside of Tesla regarding FSD. I am going to say something now that will drive you, a certified Tesla fan, into a frothing mouthed frenzy. I think a car with full FSD and people riding in the car as passengers is a truly dumb idea. It's never going to happen, have you ever discussed this with the insurance industry. No you haven't, and they know they are facing an incredibly complex time as this technology becomes mature. In the same way I've watched Tony Seba and spent 2 hours talking to him after his talk, I have spent many hours with different insurance companies from many territories around the world. How do they insure a car that drives itself, if there is someone inside the car? Who is liable, the person in the car, the company who made the car, other vehicles around the FSD car. Forget it, they won't cover it.. I think a car with FSD that drives itself to the next user, with no one in the car, is a truly game changing, brilliant idea. A car that shows up in front of you, empty, fully charged, valeted, and you get in, you drive and you are insured as a driver, yes. And at the end of oyur journey the car drives off to charge itself and maybe be cleaned, and is then used by someone else. World changing. Less cars, no car parks, no on street parking, no range anxiety, no need to own a car. Genius. Brilliant. Totally doable. Who demonstrated this 8 years before Tesla introduced autopilot? VW. Yes, the damn Germans showed me exactly this technology in an e-Golf back in 2013, and they developed it because of the insurance implications. I may be wrong, I will be happy to be shown I'm wrong, but I will not, not now, not ever, worship at the foot of Tesla motors. They are a car company, they too make mistakes, they too try to cover up the fatalities caused by their 'infallible FSD.' They are not perfect,

The some of the features you won't find in Mercedes bens S-class, it's got radar, collision assist and avoidance, electric seats with cooling and heating, powerful sorround sound system, android auto/airplay, wireless charging, reverse camera, front, back and side (mirror) sensors, electric power steering, 2 custom mirrors and driver seat settings, leather seats, auto lighting control,tire pressure sensor, and many many more. The sleecky front design with xenon lights is amazing. The car runs smooth and quiet, even in hybrid mode. My next car (full electric) would probably be another hyunndai.

Kind of similar style and proportions to my old Citroën DS5! Like a lot.

I think you have to balance that ( megane pure ev only) vs them lobbying the EU to delay the ban on petrol sales for 5 - 10 years longer.

Surely it is a big sister? Still, great looking car and great design. Like Peugeot too; the French are nailing it.

In future, when majority of cars are electric.. I wonder what kind of chaos it will be. Right now there might be just a little quick queue at a petrol station.. but imagine 20 cars standing, waiting for a charger, each waiting 30 minutes for example.. And 3 of the chargers are broken.

I believe it has Android Automotive on the main screen so it should have a better entertainment system than any of the current German cars

I love this car, much more hyped for this than the Renault 5, although I do like that car. I would definitely get the Megane E-Tech if I could afford one.

I'm not gonna forgive them for the crossover stance ... shoulve made it a larger hatchback that could eat up the motorway better than the zoe, then done a Captur or resurrected a old name plate with e-tech added to it ... maybe laguna... Nice to see Renault stepping up though and I did test drive a zoe recently, going to do it again at a dealer in a area I'm more familiar in but overall was nice

Encourage by Lux-Inspira nice song choice. Renault Mégane looks nice. Also wherever the footage of the car being driven is a stunning location.
