Hey! Could you do a tutorial on light emitting fluids with dynamics in Renderman? For example liquid pouring into a container. Thanks. Your videos are helpful.

That would be great. Like an alembic cache with vertex info driving shader parameters and whitewater.

I really love deep compositing but I wish they implemented a way to keep the file sizes down.

U fortunately that's the nature of the beast, extra data per pixel = larger files. It gets worse as you go up in resolution, render a frame at 4k and you'll know what I mean!

Hi Michael, Do you know how to override an xgen description put into a render layer where there is a reflective material so that the xgen hair is only visible on the reflection of the material but not being rendered? Render engine is redshift Thank you.

In Renderman I'd use an LPE, not sure if the current version of Redshift has something similar I've not upgraded to the most recent version since my licence lapsed. Closest equivalent would be to do a render pass I suppose.

Thanks. I was trying to understand what did you really mean by your phrase on 09:58 to 10:19 by it's kind hard to follow. Could you re-xplain what did you really mean? Thank you

When you're trying to place an object among other objects where the object is both blocking objects and being blocked by objects deep compositing is useful.

@@SmallRobotStudio Thank you. By the way, do you have a complete tutorial on how to setup render passes in Renderman and composite them all in Nuke. Or is there any tutorial you recommend for that.
