I'd like to add to the nepotism debate - While we can't choose our family, demonizing individuals for their birth is unfair. For a long time, the privilege of being born into a film family wasn't even discussed. Now when it is, it's natural for some to feel defensive. However, acknowledging privilege, not taking it for granted, and making the most of it is crucial as opposed to giving answers like, 'But look, Uday Chopra isn't a star" Or "But our journey is different" Or "Everyone has their struggles". And poor Uday Chopra! He has been made a scapegoat. The industry people, to defend themselves, have made him synonymous with failure in Bollywood. The argument that Uday Chopra couldn't be a star is irrelevant to nepotism; it's about opportunities. Uday Chopra can still get roles in big-budget films, unlike struggling outsiders. Consider actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, and Sanjay Kapoor - they may not be acclaimed, but they consistently get opportunities. Nepotism isn't about creating stars; it's about access to opportunities, which is a significant advantage. Not everyone who wants to act wants to become a star. Many aspiring actors just want to make a decent living doing what they love.

Uday Chopra ko ek bhi film mili woh nepotism hai!!! He is a bad actor, period. He does not deserve even 30 seconds of screen time. There are tons of actors in Lokhandwala who are way talented and deserving and who would give their right arm to get even those 2-3 films that he has gotten and they would still consider themselves lucky. If Uday Chopra was one of those people, forget screen tests, he wouldn't make it past a single audition. Being a part of a blockbuster like Dhoom would be a far-fetched dream.

The podcaster is mad for thinking that people want to see celebrities walking in out of gyms/ restaurants etc etc .. people have a life and real struggles and couldn't care less.. However media houses keep insanely overexposing pictures of celebrities' videos and photos everywhere on social media, as if forcing viewers to consume such contents in which viewers do not have particular interest in.. these content are everywhere one scrolls.. so what would the viewers do.. i think this should stop

It's an unnecessary jargon. It's a postmodern dictum of everything LGBTQ.. which is now a very important point of debate in the west, now India being a part of the democracy, the values that shaped the narrative of the LGBTQ community which is identity politics is now entering in to the media with these podcasts through Bollywood. I would say that if you seriously do not know about it, it's best that you have saved yourself from a lot of bullshit. Honestly.

Good explanation above. But I think what she really asking is about that frog and potato thing is that people are now coming out to identify as anything like there are people who say that they identify as a Dog or as a handicap. So he just says that someone can come out as a potato or a frog if they want.
