The ADA compliant Easy Latch Privacy Hardware* from Renin secures the door from the inside providing privacy control for an ensuite bath or office. It’s also compatible with most flat track barn door hardware systems making this a simple to install.
Step 1. Measure down 47 ½" from the bottom of the track and make
a small line on the edge of the door near where the handle
will be installed.
Step 2. Position the bottom edge of one (1) T bracket on the line, centered on the edge of the door and mark a hole location in the center of each slot.
Step 3. Using a 1/8" drill bit, drill all the marked hole locations
¾" deep, including the front door assembly holes.
Step 4. Affix both T brackets (1 upper and 2 lower) using the 1" screws provided.
Step 5. Insert the square rod down through the lower T bracket on a slight angle.
Step 6. Insert the engagement pin block assembly into the bottom end of the rod, with the pin facing the side of the door the handle will be affixed to (as
shown in step
Step 7. Raise the rod up through the upper T bracket.
Step 8. Position the handle assembly on the door, ensuring the handle is in the lowered position (as shown) and the engagement pin is located in the slot of the handle.
Step 9. Replace End Stops
Step 10. Set the Catch Block
Step 11. Snap the cover onto the handle assembly ensuring the emergency key slots face the side of the rod.
Step 12. Test the emergency key so you are familiar with how it operates.
