This #ADAPrideMonth, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC) is undergoing important renovations to its most public space: the Meeting Chamber.
“The project initiated from a city-wide plan to transform our facilities and our services to be more ADA friendly and meet the standards of today,” explains Santiago Rodriguez, project manager.
The ADA stands for the Americans with Disabilities Act. This legislation helps protect people with disabilities from discrimination, and ADA Pride Month is all about celebrating its legacy while looking ahead to a better future that prioritizes accessibility for all.
Everyone has a place in local government, and we want to ensure that everyone has an equal space in our chamber.
