I ask the same question, regularly. Even if you’re a design snob who doesn’t like the finished product, it doesn’t warrant disliking the deed that was done. That being said, as far as KZitem’s algorithm is concerned, any interaction with a video, even a thumbs down, counts as interacting, & lands the vid in more feeds, so poop to you, trolls:)

Most givers, if not all, don't ask for a lot from others, ad if they do, they ask for so little, and are even apologetic for daring to do so. This couple are literally giving the world to these kids with special needs, and all they are asking for, so humbly and apologetically, is an ADA compliant bathroom. That's all. Like really. You have earned the right to ask for the moon! There are angels on this earth.... Thanks George for the good work in changing the lives of this couple and their adopted kids!

Interesting I think this is a tremendous act of giving back especially when it's very much needed for all the better updated wither fully renovated or even an appearance able to updated partial renovated very well out of range and not even modern age more like over close to 3-4 decade's and well kept yet barely any working electric not to mention how Old run down yet still semi usable for a certain kind caring compassionate

I heard about a couple who is taking care of many children he was a pediatrician in training and she was a nurse when they met -she was staying at the bed of sick child and he asked her why she did not leave because it was past her schedule . She said she could not leave with that child being so sick and he said then let.s do it together from now on as husband and wife . And that was the marriage proposal . Is it the same couple ?

@shihalya
5 жыл бұрын
I am all for helping those that need it, and especially caring for children that have no one else, giving them hope and help for a future,.... but 13 special needs kids is a lot, plus their own,... adoption is really great, but is there no law to limit how many you actually are allowed to adopt? I mean there so many restrictions and stuff already, but if they can not give the help and room from the start, why can they adopt? It’s great that Georg and team helped them, but still.... that’s a lot of kids .... Bless that couple for doing so much
@claudeusgothicus6453
4 жыл бұрын
Maybe they have help come in? Or they're both retired? I don't know but yeah, not sure how 2 people take care of 13 special needs kids all at the same time. What happens in the future? These folks aren't exactly spring chickens, and I think their youngest is 2 yrs? What is going to happen with these kids down the road? I mean as the kids get older and heavier, they themselves will be getting older but weaker. What's going to happen when they can't physically do this anymore? I have to think that maybe they've already made arrangments for that considering they appear to be intelligent and obviously must have the funds.
@claudeusgothicus6453
4 жыл бұрын
Just did a bit of digging around and it appears NY pays an adoption subsidy. This means that the government pays a monthly sum for each of these children. The rate varies depending upon certain things and in the case of 'hard to place' or 'handicapped/special needs' children, they fall into the highest or exceptional category. I'm not suggesting or insinuating anything by this, I was just wondering how they could afford to care for 13 special needs kids.
@maggiep3129
5 жыл бұрын
Why oh why would you reduce a two sink bathroom down to a one sink bathroom??? They have 13 kids, for heaven's sake! They will need that extra sink. At least you got the walk in shower correct, and the various grab bars. But I see you didn't consider putting in a handicap compliant toilet. I know you and your show go the extra mile in many ways (most items are donated?),and I applaud that most heartily; however, when it comes to special needs kids or adults, you need to go that extra, extra one step further. Unfortunately, I agree with an earlier comment in that a designer/decorator with actual experience with special needs kids would have been better. Instead of tee shirt material for the chairs, why not material with elastic around the bottom? Pull off and toss in the washer. Or, why not some colorful oil cloth that can be easily wiped off? I will end my rant now and say that in the end you are all doing great work for many deserving people. Great job!
@VR-xk2nj

maggie p Not for lack of effort they made these mistakes. Just needed a designer with experience of special needs fittings and equipment. And yes, maybe some common sense.
@cathyblackhall3448
5 жыл бұрын
You don't need a specialist designer,just one with common sense!She not only reduced the no. of sinks,she wiped out most of the storage!In the bathroom was a row of cabinets that weren't replaced and a whole bank of wardrobes were knocked out and replaced by a single wardrobe.
@maggiep3129
5 жыл бұрын
Look in the mirror. All you see is the complaining and not the compliments and aknowledgement of free donations, and ergo, the complications from that. However... With the exception of the shower, when you end up with everything else being somehow LESS than what was there, I damn well will point it out and "complain" about it so maybe next time the show's admin will put a little more thought into some areas.
@maggiep3129
5 жыл бұрын
Brice... And if you were paying attention and reading what I was saying correctly, you would have realized that the shower was something I praised them for, and that they got right. And, AGAIN, I acknowledged the donations, etc., that you seem to think I'm don't know anything about. George's tag line in this show is to, "Leave the house better than it was before." In this ONE instance, out of all the wonderful, wonderful work I have seen him and his crew do, I feel and defend my opinion that, overall, they did not do that. End of story.

This was a family of color, did you even watch the video?, many of their adopted kids are minorities with special needs.
@claudeusgothicus6453
4 жыл бұрын
You must not have watched as many as you think you have because they do help families of colour also. Try to remember that need is colour blind and unless someone in the lgbtq community is special needs or something similar why would they be included? Why do you have to define people into little boxes with labels like this? Why is someone's sexuality important? People are more than their skin colour or who they sleep with so the fact someone is lgbtq is totally irrelevant in the greater scheme of life.
