Rent is decreasing to pre-pandemic levels by itself!!! That;s a joke!!! It's not like landlords are willingly dropping rent. it's only happening by default because people CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY IT!!!! If landlords could get away with it they would continue to increase, but they have tapped out the people of Atlanta who just can't afford it. The income levels here have not risen, and yet the cost of living has doubled. Go figure!! I think many people are finally figuring out it's better to stay put and see what happens over the next year or so - than pay over inflated rent. People have power in numbers to make change - stop renting at these over inflated prices and watch the rental prices come down.

I miss the golden days of Atlanta when rent was $515 a month with free water. This was in Dunwoody / Doraville when I moved here.

In 2012 I had a really nice luxury apartment downtown for $755 and I thought that was a lot, because initially I was looking for a 1bd for $400… but that was just a little too ghetto. I miss these days when rent was easier to pay and still have money

@amberinternational Hmmm...that's why I see less people out on weekends now. Cost of living is too high. That's crazy rent was $755 in Midtown. I use to wanted to stay in there. Hearing from Residents or ex Residents, they told me staying there was overrated .

I don't see where 1,600.00 is affordable for most people. It seems like highway robbery to me.

I totally agree. They needs to stop lying for those landlords, just rediculous and shameful, they're just like the big pharmaceuticals, all for profit it's the main reason they got into renting, so they can become super rich, and get into politics and try to rule the world.

Atlanta was supposed to be a Black Mecca. That was the dream. It's not the reality in 2023.

Rent in Atlanta is still high don't be fooled. That's why I moved out of Atlanta Georgia. TBH I'm much happier now everyone in Atlanta has a bad attitude it feels like. Well not everyone but half the people that I met over there. Now I'm in upstate New York in a much happier. Cost of living is so much more affordable in upstate New York I live outside of Buffalo New York now. I get to see Niagara falls go to canada.
