It's so enjoyable to watch Gary play that guitar and bounce around the stage. It's clear how much fun it was for him. Hard to replace someone so talented that loved what he did like that.

Gary was a showman... this song probably shows it more than anything I have ever seen. There is more to playing than technique. You have to entertain. Gary did that as well as anyone.

REO Ruled. I was 20 in 1980. Lived the time when music was so real. Thanks to all the bands. So damn good. Miss that life. Thank you REO!

Although REO Speedwagon had already released several recordings (which are gems) before the 80's.....this was certainly is when they were at their commercial peak success. I've been a fan since their inception to the present. This "live" footage is so badass....so many great memories: RIP Gary Dean Richrath (Oct. 18,1949 - Sep 13, 2015). You were one awesome guitarist and showman.

I love the tom groove Gratzer holds down in the first song. Not particularly grueling technique-wise but it makes the song sound so fun.

I seen REO Speedwagon 1978 till 1986 I was fortunate to see REO Speedwagon five times every time was as spectacular as the first time they really knew how to get a crowd up and going possibly one of the greatest Arena rock bands ever they should be in the Hall of Fame don't understand why they're not well I do understand you got a bunch of f****** morons deciding who goes in should be up to the fans who decides who goes and who don't they're the ones that paid the money to go see these great rock and roll bands in concert and paid the money for their CDs and albums they should have a voice in it too

First Concert i ever saw. REO and Thin Lizzy. Late 70s'. I said "that's what i'm gonna do someday" when i was a teen. Pretty stoned at the time. i never knew how much work it was and the opposition when you are a Christian, how the devil fights you to kill you and stop you because if you bring it and use it to promote good instead of evil, (like john Schlitt did Head-East/Petra.) you need prayer cover. Lucifer is a jealous fallen angel bastard who took it from God and used it for himself, and managed to get his ass kicked out of heaven and fired from head of worship. But he knew the secrets of rhythm and melody. So now we take it back for God. The Gary i saw in the 70's was not the same guy i saw in that last show. God can rejuvenate you by his power if you bow to Him. Anyone who is bound by addiction can be free. Just ask the H.G. to fill you up in the name of Jesus Christ and read the Word of God / Bible. Journey did and Steve Perry wrote the best songs ever by the inspiration of the Spirit of God. I think it was he who said they read the Word. I hope Gary R. got saved. I loved his playing. He was great. REO is a good band promoting a good message, not like some of the satanic shit the devil crams down our throat these days.
