Good amplifiers but a nightmare to repair as so many dry joints. Repair will liable to bounce on you if not careful. Prudent to check all t0220 style transistors too. They get too hot and fracture the solder on the board. Rather than trim the leads, Marantz installed them with long terminals to aid heat withdrawal and keep them away from board but it's not good enough as the leads actually vary in temperature to one another in use. Best to take the lot out, metculously clean with alcohol, trim the leads properly and replace with leaded solder... Anything suspect print, bridge connections with tin copper wire to make certain and lastly buy and add extra heat-sinking to each to220 style transistor too.

Thank you, that was very useful info !! but unfortunately, that Maranz has been back with my friend for a long time, and still works fine, and yes, I had renewed all the solder !! Thanks !!

No recuerdo que Marranz haya vuelto al cliente por un tiempo. y honestamente no sabía que podrías reiniciar un amplificador así. 😉
