This Deteknix XPointer is about eight years old now. It worked very well for the first five years, then developed an annoying fault, the power button was erratic. I replaced it with a Garrett Pro-Pointer AT, but I have never really liked that. I decided it was time to delve into this one and see if I could resurrect it. The fault was simple, a bad tactile switch, and a new switch only cost around $1.50.
