Hi! Bob was a great potter and a great teacher. I was taking class with him when he passed. Getting a feeling for how long ago it was as you are making this repair. I love your willingness to listen to Bob and help finish quite a large piece. So many parallels to the way we find solutions in everyday life. 🌸🌺🌻

hopefully i will be popping in tomorrow to fix it, but i made a sculpture of a man sitting and managed to break his leg - i think i'll go for the repair rather than a do-over. my teacher managed to repair it, but then snapped the other leg off. (i have a video on my own channel of 'before the break'). the lady who does the firing suggested i use vinegar too, so....

I have a 19" tall piece that I am allowing to dry. It developed horizontal cracking about a few inches from the bottom.

Thank you for the feedback. I made this video during the pandemic and not really knowing much about making a KZitem video. Hope to edit this soon and show the final results too!

Yes it did!! There was one tiny hairline crack that didn’t really matter. I need to update the video and show the final result. Thanks for the reminder.

Thank your for this video and these tips! Had a hard time finding a video for green ware repair. I refuse to lose another piece to my clumsy behavior!

Awesome! So glad it was helpful. Just take your time. Keep looking for cracks to develop as the vinegar dries and repeat the process as necessary until you see no cracking. Good luck!
