Our Miele Ceramic Cooktop (KM 468) was out of warranty when a fault emerged that caused one heating element to stop working. The wire connecting the heating element was not properly crimped and over the years started sparking, turning the wire brown. When I attached the wire properly, after a month or so the relay was now totally fused and would not switch any more. This video shows you in detail how to take this cooktop apart and replace the failing relay. Total cost for the replacement was AU $ 5.17. Hope you can use this knowledge to fix your own cooktop.
