In this video I show how to reflow the solder under a graphics chip. The laptop was not giving video or showing any other signs up booting up.
I began with troubleshooting steps to rule out a problem with the screen and RAM memory. Next I disassembled the laptop to get to the motherboard. I reflowed the solder under the GPU and reassembled the laptop.
It worked. The computer booted into Windows.
This is the hot air rework station I use in the video. I've had it for 2.5 years.
