I just got in a car crash and my 2021 Audi A5 is in a similar situation. On an estimate how much did it cost to replace the whole front end?

It’s been a few years since I did this, but I think I was under $1000 in parts. The headlight and bumper cover were the most expensive parts.

This video showed me how to get my front grill off to repaint it with gloss black to match the rest of the vehicle. Thank you for sharing!

How did you get the hood latch cord off to pull the radiator bracket off ?

I’m sorry, but I do not remember. I sold this car shortly after fixing it years ago.

Did you figure it out ? Having the same issue?

I'm currently doing exactly the same thing for a 2012 audio Q7 I brought to repair. What isn't clear in the video is how you removed the alu crash bar support legs that stick out? They appear to be bolted on the bottom radiator mount which I'm struggling to get off. Any advice welcome.

Once the four bolts are out, they should come off, but may need some persuasion to come off. It's been a couple years since I made this video, but from watching the disassembly, it looked like I just removed the bolts and then worked them off of there.

@@MikesMiniMotors thanks for the response. On my Q7 the crash bat support legs go right the way through and have a bracket where the radiators sit on. I think there maybe a bolt underneath holding this in place. Many thanks once again

@@shimstar-21 Yeah, maybe there were some changes from 2007 to 2012. Best of luck to you!

@@knewyan yes, this job was a nightmare but I did figure it out. You have to remove the intercoolers to gain access, especially the near side. Where the radiator bottom mount meets there is a retaining clip that is visible on the backside and also another one on the bottom that holds a metal washer in place needs to be slid out. Once that is done you can unbolt the crash bare support legs and wiggle it out. I used a jack underneath the rad pack to lift it up slightly and support it while I got the legs out. It's difficult to explain. I have got a video I made of it if you want I can probably put it on my channel.

Just did the same thing. Bought a 2013 TDI Prestige Q7 with adaptive cruise control and Bang and Olufsen stereo system option. The hit broke the radiator core support and absorption/aluminum support. The repair was easy but the parts....bought a perfect flood car and swapped the front ends because piece meal would have been more than the cost of the flood vehicle. Love the Q7, installing a 12" touchscreen replacement with android auto and carplay

I agree! the repair itself was pretty easy, but finding parts (especially is a smaller town in Montana) was the hard part! I didn't even think about flood cars, I'll have to keep those in mind.
