The husband would say something if he heard his wife holding a gun and says: “I have a gun” he won’t just take another step forward and be quiet. That jury was easy to manipulate by a very good defense lawyers. They didn’t even get to hear she killed before. She was smart enough to change her name and got to live quiet life.

The problem here is, the defence do not need to prove anything, the prosecution HAD TO make the case, and its just not there. The cop didn't do the re-enactment right, there are no evidence of she lure him in, there are no way the prosecution can prove beyond the reasonable doubt required to find her guilty. In my opinion, she probably had murdered her husband, but the state can't prove the case, and hence she walks

I don't think the police in the prosecutors did a good job. Also why would her husband come in the house without making it sound without calling out to her especially because he have not been there. Also the police said her head was a little wet but they never mention it until six months later until it was time for them to go to trial so her lawyers made it look like they made it up just to make her look worse. I never heard anyone bring up the fact that she killed before why didn't the prosecutor instead of starting in January or once they went through January why didn't they bring up what happened in 74. If she got away with it she got away with it twice. They dropped the ball and she walked

I understand this mother's position, truly, I do... god bless her, her family, and her deceased loved one. Realistically, at the end of the day, we live in a free country with certain rights. Our justice system and its checks and balances is set up in a way that we ALL, no matter who you are, are afforded the benefit "by law" of bond due to the innocent until proven otherwise rule in our constitution. The key in every case prior to trial and being judged by a jury of your peers, is that powerful, detrimental word "ALLEGEDLY". Unfortunately, we can't just 'trust you' with regards to the defendants self defense claims, especially being a biased party to the case (& thats why a non-bias, non-related, unfamiliar jury is carefully selected for fairness. But then on the flipside, a judge, jury member, attorney, individual involved in a particular case, etc. s obligated to recuse their self should such a case arise with connections that can ultimately tamper with the fairness and impartiality of any case in any legal system.
