I have a 2008 Dixon Ram 50”, 26 hp. With 3 blades. All I have done is just general maintenance, oil changes twice a year and every 3years have the hydraulic oil and filters changed. It still runs great. Dixon was the very first zero turns. Wish they still produced them but the damn Husqvarna bought them out. I mow 1 1/2 acres. I have 4 sets of blades, I purchased set of new blades every year and after the 4th year I would throw the oldest set away, so I always have 4 sets. I put on sharpened blades after every 4th cutting. Little eccentric I know but that’s what I do.

I remember those old Dixons. Eccentric is just another way to say it’s my way! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video. Any idea why the blades were in such bad shape? I have 196 hours on my Gravely zthd 60” and was going to replace the blades but they look awesome, just need a light sharpenning. I have a question about the zt2000 control levers. I just bought a new zt2000 for my daughter and one lever is higher than the other by about 3/4”. Doesn’t affect steering but is annoying. I can’t find any information on how to make an adjustment. Do you have any suggestions?

I wondered why the blades were so bad myself. I guess 90 hours is long time, but I have never seen any other mower blades that bad. I do use it to cut some heavy stuff and there is a ton of force there, maybe that is it. I would love to hear any other opinions here. My levers are level and steering with one hand while pulling a sprayer and such, that is important. Let me look at it again, but I don't remember a place to level the,. I would call the dealer and ask. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I’ll give the dealer a call as you suggest. The screws that attach the handles go through holes, not slots, so there is no up or down adjustment available there. I took a peak at my gravely blades again. I fibbed, they have 182.3 hrs on them and they have never been sharpened and are the original blades. They look awesome! Must use some good steel. It surprises me because we do end up hitting small stones and lots of dirt as there are many areas in the lawn dug up by everything from moles, ground squirrels, fox, etc.

@@jimklosiewski5196 I Checked mine when I mowed last night. I do NOT have vertical adjustment either. That is interesting on those Gravely blades. That is more than double the hours. hmmmm???
