Not sure why you bled the pipe. I just replaced the filter and did not bleed more diesel into system. Starts no problem

Im just about to do this job, ive order the filter, and see on the top of the plastic housing it has citreon/ peugeot emblems ??? Whats that doing on a ford ?

@@samssLV did the job today, and put my pump onto that return tube. Pumped away but never got much fuel to come through ??? Think either the seal was poor between the tubes or my pump was crap, but gave up after 10 mins. Re joined the tubes, and everything screwed down. Put ignition on 3 times without starting, then pressed to start and it fired up no probs, no coughing or hesitation. So got away with it !!

I can't crack the fuel filter cover. I lever it gently as you do and it flexes at all 4 bolt holes but will not release. I don't want to apply too much force because it's quite a flimsy plastic. What gives?
