10:15 Do you remember what size bolts came with the new radiator? I actually have 1/4-20 bolts holding my radiator in. I also had an issue with my oem. fan skimming the bottom of my shroud. Don't know what your particular situation was but mine was due to a 1.25" body lift I have on my TJ. In the end I was able to clearance the bolt holes in the shroud and scoot it down just enough on the radiator to clear the fan blades. I only needed about 3/8". I like that nutsert idea though. nice work.

LOL! I don't have any idea what size bolts came with that radiator, been too long ago. Yeah, 2" body lift on our TJ is most certainly what was causing our rubbing issue as well. The nut zerts worked well, however the radiator only lasted a year, and sprung a leak. Ended up going back to an OEM. Shoulda went that way the first time. Glad you liked the vid. Thanks for watching and the comment!!🤘🏻

I was just about to ask for a follow up report, on the radiator, and see in your reply below that it started leaking. It seems like all of the alum ones for TJ’s leak, and everyone ends up going back to oem. Thanks!!!

Yup! I actually did another video a year later after THIS one started leaking. If I had to do all over again, I'd have gone with a Griffin. But, the OEM seems to do as well. Hope this vid saved you some time, heartache and money. Thanks for watching and the comment! 🤘🏻

@@ShockWaveOffroad Ahh. Ok. Yeah bud, definitely helping make my decision. We’re prob alike, in that anytime we replace something we hunt for an upgrade...so that’s why I was thinking a multi core alum. But honestly...my oem has lasted 20 years! So I’m going back to that, but see that the actual mopar units are discontinued. Which oem unit did you get? Thanks!

@@dylanthevillian1 Honestly, we went to Advance Auto Parts and got their OEM equivalent. So far, so good! BUT, like I previously said, if this was my FIRST go 'round, I'd still go with a Griffin.

@@ShockWaveOffroad After researching all of the various alum rads on amazon...they all eventually leak. The $200 ones upto the $500 ones. Do you personally know people with griffins? I see they’re about $350, right? Thanks.

@@dylanthevillian1 Yes, I (DO) know people with the Griffins. Although, I have to disclaim, everyone I (KNOW) with a Griffin is in a JK. I would have to (ASSUME) that the quality would be the same for a TJ. All THAT said, I would still opt for the Griffin FIRST. Wish I woulda done that here, but I didnt. Mishimoto makes some quality parts, but the TJ radiator isn't one of them. I'm not sponsored by anyone and don't get any money from anyone. So, I'm giving you my honest opinion here. If I had to do it all over again, I'd opt for the Griffin. However, we've had ZERO issue with the Advance oem equivalent. The choice is on you, my friend.🤘🏻
