The battery in my daughter's 2009 Volvo S60 took a hit when she moved to college. She accidentally left the marker lights on in all the move in confusion on her very first day there, and it totally drained the battery. She as able to get a jump and seemed to have no problem after that when it was still warm weather, but the 10 degree Michigan winter wasn't kind to it and finished it off a few months later. The battery that was in it was just over 5 1/2 years old so it did well, but it was time for a new one. Batteries these days can be expensive. I got a new AC Delco 36 month battery from Menards for about $140 and was able to replace the old battery in just a few minutes. All that's needed is a 10mm and a 13mm wrench. These are very easy to access and very easy to replace. Hopefully this will show you just how easy it can be.
