I hope you guys start making more of these mixes every couple weeks or so. I love them, plus it saves me the time of having to search through NRW uploads individually for tracks/artists I like. This way I can just make a note of which I did like on the playlist instead of going into each upload and possibly not liking certain tracks and then having to move on. Please keep the great tunes coming and thank you for being the best synthwave.....hell, the best music channel on KZitem!!!!!

I'v always had the idea that there should be a badass Neon Retro Future TV show with drama, horror, and action. For example the protagonist is nothing but a mere man living in a world with cyborgs and robots. A corrupt government and wicked organized crime. Throughout the series there should be crazy twists of events like finding out the love of his life was killed and replaced by a robot only to try and kill him the whole time, stuff like that lol. Idk, I think a show like that would pretty cool.

Alright, so OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS FOR BLADE RUNNER 2049 DON'T READ IF YOU EVER PLAN TO WATCH THE FILM..... But damn, the entire story and how everything slowly developed for Joe was pretty sad. Not necessarily in the tear-jerking sense, but in the sense that his entire life truly is "nothing". Everything about him turned out, in the end, to be completely lacking in any specialty or individuality. His backstory? Just implanted. His digital girlfriend who says she loves him? Programmed that way. The HUMAN name given to him by said girlfriend? Just a name yet again programmed into Joi, nothing created. Every single thing about him was manufactured and controlled those who made him, aside from his developing emotions. It's a rather fresh twist on protagonists, in which they ALWAYS have to have something special about them in terms of background; Joe, in this sense, was completely normal and had no point to exist other than for what he was made for, until Deckard comes along, essentially. It could even be unfortunately argued that his last choice to die for the true Replicant-born child was not necessarily his own; just another sort of mission given to him by the side of the replicants. Joe/K basically did nothing of importance by his own decision, but by external motive. Then again, you could even go as far as saying that's the case for humans too. But what the fuck am I even going into that for?
@simonpugnet
6 жыл бұрын
Totally agreed with you. That why I found this movie depressing. It's cold and almost inhuman... The first one was not like that. It was more "Baroque" and ambivalent. The replicants was sometimes inspiring... But there, this is the end of freedom... even the replicant/human girl is in a cage... Maybe this movie has been conceive lilke a warning for humanity, to present the limits of artificial things...
@fahadus
6 жыл бұрын
Agreed, I loved it how they kept it authentic by doing something no one saw coming. It was actually depressing how we saw K realize he fell in love and that he was someone special. BTW, the child was supposed to have a clone... whatever happened to that clone?
@Profile__1
6 жыл бұрын
Mr. Sahab They said (SPOILERS) that he died. I don't think it was a clone, though. It was supposed to be a sort of red herring or something, I think.

Dante Diep I thought it was a lie right off the bat. They made quite a big deal out of it to be just nothing.
@Profile__1
6 жыл бұрын
- Simon - Yeah, but I think that was the point of the film in a way. Everyone slowly being locked into themselves, no longer needing physical/social contact when they can get it from robotics/technology. That was K/Joe. Near the end when he thought he could be happy, living with this hologram that wasn't really a person and working a job where he was just a drone, it was finally revealed that it was all a lie; there was nothing "real" about him, his love/relationship, and that all the decisions he made were completely empty in comparison to what Deckard or anyone else had.
