Did he say at 20:20 that transactions always make right, despite readers see inconsistent data. I wonder how is it possible? Your transactions start by reading some data, your transactions involve readings and if they read data in transition, non-atomic, when some data arrived but other part did not, and therefore inconsistent, then you cannot ensure consistent data written by the transaction.

I haven't gotten to that part yet, but doesn't the name "transaction" just refer to an atomic operation over a few objects, but doesn't say anything about the isolation of those transactions?
