I remember my first time enriching uranium. I was hanging out with some friends, and they were talking about Topeing, I wasn't sure what they were talking about it, so I just stayed quiet. After a short period they asked me if I wanted to go Tope with them. Me being gullible, I said yes. Honestly, I was pretty scared to go home after that smelling like radioactive residue of uranium. I'm just glad I did it once and I can safely say that I don't really have too much interest in enriching uranium, or any form of deadly isotope

Facts are on the table. It is simply too expensive to be a student nowadays, parents will chip in any way they can but at one point any student will see the pure numbers and say to themselves "I can't put my parents through this..." and get money in any way they can out of love for their parents. Sure some "have fun" doing it but the vast majority are just scraping by so that they can tell their parents "It's no problem mom, I got a part time job, you don't have to sell the house. It's ok, I'll get through." Can you really blame them?

the funny thing is that with recent discoveries in laser based technology, it no longer takes a massive industrial complex to refine radioactive elements such as uranium, plutonium and thorium, and anyone with a 3d printer could build the tools to start refining nuclear material from sediment as common as monazite, do some research on google and you will see how laughably easy it is

It's funny seeing one of these old videos back when the only thing parents worried about was uranium enrichment. Nowadays with uranium decriminalized, and even plutonium becoming mainstream, the crisis has just gotten worse. So many of the kids these days getting into tritium, and some of the fusion explosions you hear from the parties now are breaking in the megaton range. Why can't we all go back to just playing with radium in our chemistry sets like our grandparents did?

Completely overblown. Most of the time, the uranium goes to nuclear power programs and civilian development. Sure, you get the occasional dirty bomb find its way to an airport, but those are a few isolated events the media is making into a palaver. People are blowing this whole thing right out of proportion. If my son wants to tope, and I'm not saying he does, I say let him. What they aren't telling you is that teens who tope score consistently higher grades in science and mathematics than teens who don't - and it pays better than part time work.

I want to take the time to admit that I attended a toping party once. I was never the same afterwards. It is made up story. Comment section is full of people making up stories at what they need to enrich this or how that behaves. They want to look smart and just want to say something which sounds smart, but just try and actually do hard work and research into what they are saying. Everyone is full of BS.

You can literally enrich uranium with a rope, but it's hard to get the ratios right that way and you end up hitting critical mass.
